Is Downtown Disney hard to get to?

We'll be staying at the Poly and would love to get over to Downtown Disney and eat at Raglan Road, but is it difficult and time consuming to get to? Is it worth the hassle?

Thanks!

Not a problem at all. You can catch a bus directly to DTD from the Poly. I haven't eaten at Raglan Road, but I have eaten at a few of the other restaurants and it's certainly worth the trip.

What I find though is that the buses (especially coming back), seem to be far and few between. It always takes FOREVER to get back to the hotel, especially later in the evening.

Thanks for the advice! I guess what I'll do is take the bus to Downtown Dis and catch a cab back!

We stayed at the Poly in December and LOVE Downtown Disney. We did not experience long wait periods for the bus at either end...quite efficient, actually.

As pp, take any bus to DTD. Raglan Road is just around the bend from Fulton's Crab House if you get off at the MArketplace and walk. Otherwise, from the Pleasure Island bus stop it's opposite the back end of T-Rex. Food was very good. The Guiness dipping sauce with the brown bread was excellent but if you like seafood - get the forkful of scallops! Delicious.

Getting to DTD is like any other bus transportation - hit or miss so reviews of that will depend on most recent experience. We find that DTD bus service appears to be better later in the day and the evening while going in the morning or lunch time seems to be less frequent. It is definitely worth a trip (or two) down there, and Raglan Road is a pretty good meal. For something "quicker" downtown, try Wolfgang Puck Express - great food and pretty affordable.
