Is DLP still have the no queue policy for characters?

Last time I was at DLP was 2009 and trying to meet the characters in the parks was crazy:some was okay as there was a line others was a free for all.

So the best way to meet was a character meal, anyway is it still like this or do they make you queue now for characters?

There's a queue for most characters unless they come out unannounced. Even then the handler with them encourages queuing. Much better now. Just stars and cars that's still a free for all. Afaik

Character meet and greets do seem to be better organised at the moment, even the unannounced ones have CM's organising lines. The Stars and Cars meet and greet stopped a few months ago so the issues that happened there are no longer an issue. There does seem to be more characters out and about at the moment which is good.
