Is Disney Parks making guests pay money to participate in Easter activities?

I heard that when Disney Parks has Easter themed activities throughout the parks you are gonna have to pay to participate in them and I would like to know if this is true? From what I learned so far is that the Easter Egg hunt that Disneyland and Walt Disney World have every Easter now cost $8 to participate in and I cannot figure it out why Disney Parks are now doing this? Is this a new way for Disney Parks to make more money during holidays or is this due to a new way to get people into the parks during holiday times? Because for as long as I can remember the Easter Egg hunts at Walt Disney World and Disneyland were always free with park admission and now it seems the only Easter activity that is for free at Disney Parks are photos with the Easter Bunny. To me I think what Disney Parks should do is try making the Easter activities free for all guests to participate. It seems that every time that a big holiday comes Disney Parks tries to make you pay big money to participate in. And Easter activities should be free for Disney Parks visitors again like they used to

You've always had to pay for the Easter Egg Hunt. That's how you get the prize and the sticker sheet to complete it. MK had the easter pre-parade too

I believe there were free egg hunts for kids at Epcot, like 10+ years ago. That likely went away when they began the Egg Scavenger Hunt that you pay for so you get the "prize" at the end. The only other thing I remember is photo with the Easter Bunny and an Easter Parade. Any other activities were for hotel guests at the hotels, not the parks.

No need for Disney to provide a bunch of activities in the parks. If you want "free" activities, then just stay at a Disney hotel that includes them.
