I thought I read somewhere this was closed while work is being done for a new ride???

Unless they just closed it down in the past month it is still up and running. Although, it is shortened as they don't take you to see all those "shell" houses that they used to.

I know for a fact its open 'cause I was the "wet" mechanic in the water scene.

The route is different because of the construction for that new stunt show. The houses that were mentioned are actually torn down. This is where the new show will be. They moved the movie set cars and all that so you can still see them. You go inside a new building i still costumes? I dont remember. Of course the canyon is still open. I thought it was better when the construction didnt start but what are you going to do?

Did they tear down the Golden Girls house?? That was the only part I liked about the ride.

The Golden Girls house is gone along with the other houses. That is where part of the new stunt show will be.

The Backlot tour is OK but I liked the old one better. Also they moved the props around. It seems most of them are on the left side if you want to get pictures.
