Is DIS Pop not being posted to iTunes now?

I tend to listen to podcasts in the car (not watching the videos of course) and was trying to figure out why there hasn't been a DisPop since October (Ryno's rant on the Fox take on RHPS :mic:). I just discovered that there have been at least 4 episodes on Youtube since then. Is DisPop not being posted to iTunes anymore? I had been under the impression that just the arts/crafts/video necessary episodes were solely on youtube and that the others were in both locations. I just watched the Moana episode and can't see any reason it couldn't be a regular audio podcast.....?

It also looks like the most recent upload (maybe this last Friday's) is posted as "Private". Is this something new or just that it isn't ready yet?

Thanks - pdarrah

Things aren't consistently getting updated, the last Pop episode posted was 10/12 according to Disunplugged? It was the last one I saw.
The only show that consistently goes up week after week and on time is the Disneyland show. Pete, give those west coast guys a pat on the head.
Look on Disunplugged, where is today's World show? Who knows.
Granted, it's free, so I guess we get what we pay for so I try to keep that in mind. :)

Today's show is missing because everyone is currently at the podcast cruise. Last week was cut due to illness.

Dispop is mostly on YouTube now as it tends to be a more visual show then the others. Ryno just did a Moana review not that long ago.

Ryno stated just this morning, from the cruise, there IS a World's episode and it would be up at 1, like normal.
Go to Disunplugged and under Dispop and look how many episodes have been posted there since August, there is like four?
Now are there other floating out there in space, sure, but they aren't readily found.
It's just my observation. It's a free service, I was just agreeing with the poster, it's a GREAT service but hard to navigate at times.

I'm not so sure what is hard to navigate about the YouTube channels. Just did a quick count and since august there have been 12 dispop episodes all posted under the dispop playlist on disunpluged's YouTube channel. I was able the watch today's live Facebook video but know that when they talked about the podcast cruise in previous episodes they mentioned it will depend on the wifi available to them on if things go up on time and smoothly. Just checked and it is up on YouTube at least. So today's show did go up I just can't say if it was at 1 or not.

My whole point is it doesn't get updated to the Disunplugged site. To me, the time, effort, editing, etc of making the videos is far more than the effort of posting it to their site so there is an easy listener friendly episode index.
You say it's easy to navigate YouTube and find new episodes but a few minutes ago you thought today's episode didn't exist since they were on the cruise.
This is a chicken and egg effect, you have to know it exist, then search YouTube. But if you haven't seen it, how do you know to look for it?

I just go to youtube.com/disunplugged so I don't have to search, the newest episodes are there. One exception to this is the newest posts. The live show will be there to watch, then often comes down if it needs to be edited, but will return later that night or the next day.

I now understand that I can find them all on YouTube - it wasn't particularly clear from the podcast page on wdwinfo. There is a link to the youtube, but you need to scroll down, find it on the right side and it is labeled "Subscribe on YouTube" - something like "Find more episodes on YouTube" might be clearer. Looking at the podcast page, most people would think that this is a show that only occasionally runs and they wouldn't have a clue they should go look for it on YouTube.

I'm just disappointed that the episodes that WOULD work OK as an audio podcast (ie, the Moana episode) are not available as podcasts. Yes, I can find it on YouTube, but that doesn't work all that well for listening in my car (my little ipod touch is WiFi only - podcasts get downloaded and don't need a connection to play)

If you are viewing this board from a full web browser, the latest youtube episodes are in the right side-bar which I guess is a way to find it (however, the current DIS Pop is a black Youtube box and if you try to view it shows "Private").

The newest one is "Private" because it hasn't been released yet. They have them uploaded since they're on the cruise, and they'll unlock on the appropriate day.

Disneyland is only updated by Tom, and Tom alone. On our feeds we split it between Oliver and myself and from time to time if one of us screws up as much as a letter then things get posted incorrectly and while we check 99 percent of the time, it does slip through the cracks because when everything is working smoothly, it shouldn't screw up. As I've said before, our team isn't perfect, but we try to make up for any mistakes when they happen.

Thanks for the reply. I almost regret posting because I'd rather blend into the background. But this is something that has always confused me.
Why don't all the shows go to disunplugged.com? Like if you go to dispop there is only one from October and one from September? But I know Ryno did more. Is there a reason some do and some don't? The reply I always get is "they're on YouTube" but I really prefer the format of the Disunplugged website, especially because the show notes are handy.
Thanks for your reply Craig. I am torn asking for clarification because it's really not a big deal and it seems better to drop it and I rather not be seen as a pain.

Craig - Is DISPop not being posted to the iTunes feed anymore? It would just be nice to know if I should just unsubscribe from it. The YouTube versions aren't very good for listening in the car, so I really like the iTunes versions. I certainly understand why the craft shows and other visual episodes wouldn't be on iTunes - audio only doesn't really work - but the shows where he reviews a movie (ie the Moana show) are just fine as audio.

I agree. I love the show, but listen using iTunes at work because I can't use YouTube there.

Agreed, I have unlimited data so I can start a show and drop it in my cup holder while driving. But the sound quality in iTunes is better and it doesn't freeze up.
I love the default purple podcast app on the iPhone!!! This is another great way to listen to the shows. The purple podcast app and the disunplugged page are my preferred ways, YouTube is my least favorite.
I think in life the default is to use every technology available. The Dis can do video, so they do. In fact, I actually find listening to be a much richer experience. I think watching them is kinda distracting. But to each his own.

I too wish the Dis POP shows, especially the movie reviews, were on iTunes. I listen to some of the podcasts on my commute and watch others, mainly listen, to others while at work. I prefer to listen to ones that don't really have much visual content. I do like watching the Dis POP shows, as well as the others, that have good visual content. Basically, I like to be able to do both. I want my cake and eat it too:)
