IS DDP worth $672?

Ahhh... I see. Of course then, there may be days where you could have gotten that one meal a day, without even having to pay the upgrade fee.

For example, you mentioned that 1 day, you were going to have 2 TS meals, at about $35 apiece.
You couldn't really do that on the basic DDP, but you could have had 1 $35 TS, plus a $15 CS. So mathematically, your $33 upgrade, only netted you about $20 in value.
On another day, I believe you mentioned $36 Garden Gill, plus CS breakfast an a TS lunch somewhere. Under the basic DDP, you still would have been covered for the $36 Garden Grill, plus the CS breakfast. So the value of the upgrade, was just that TS lunch. So you paid $33 for 1 TS lunch that day. (And depending on the lunch, it may have been slightly more than $33, or slightly less).

I'm very roughly added up your demonstration, based on the costs you provided, and some rough estimates. Assuming you had stuck to the exact same restaurants under the basic DDP, and assuming you would have paid for the cheapest meals OOP. (Signatures being cheap on a per credit basis).... It definitely does look like you saved some money on the upgrade. But it's not really clear unless we have all of the information. Still, my very very rough numbers, suggest that by upgrading, you saved about $7 per person, per day. (Not bad at all).
It appears that you are staying 7 nights -- so you have 21 credits per person. It appears that use have committed about 16 to TS meals, 3 to CS meals, and 2 credits not currently used. (Unless my count was slightly off).
The regular DDP would have covered those 3 CS meals (plus 4 more), plus 7 out of your 16 TS credits.
So essentially.... you are paying $33 per night for 7 nights -- $231, for an extra 9 TS credits. Or... You are paying about $26 for each extra TS credit.

Thus, the slight savings of using 3/4ths of your deluxe credits for TS meals.
A couple more TS credit uses, and your savings would become significantly higher. If you used ALL of your credits for TS, then the upgrade would be costing only $16.50 per extra TS credit, but losing the CS credits.

I didn't post everything - on our plan, between the four of us (there are four of us, I just don't have the 4th person listed in my profile) we have 84 credits, and we'll be using all 84 of them. There'll be 4 CS meals in there.

I think part of the confusion is that i am looking at savings based on the fact that we were already planning on paying for DDP. So really, I'm paying $20 less per person per day than I was planning on paying, and getting DxDP entitlements vs DDP entitlements - so to me, the "savings" is significant. We had already planned on paying for DDP. To me, the issue isn't "Will I get $33 per day of extra food" but "I am getting significantly more "value" for my $33 than I was originally getting for my $55.

We did the DxDP so we could enjoy some signature and show meals. My mom complained that we were eating more than in the parks :confused3 but me and DH liked it. Only problem was at that time we had a 7 month old who was very good and sat and ate or slept and our 8 year old has always been good at meals. Now we are just doing regular dining because DD is going to be 2 and is going thru the I don't want to sit in a highchair or a booster seat and forget about eating anything faze aka terrible 2's. hopefully she will grow out of it soon!!!!:lovestruc but we love the regular dining too they all seem to work out well for us we just know what type of places we can go based on the plan we have and there is so many 1 TS places we like even if it would be nice to go to more 2 TS things but we will have many chances for that later!
Have a great trip!

I use it for more of pre-pay that a save you $$ so I say yes. I think you probably could not spend that much even paying ooo for 1 meal, but it is so much easier to do it before.

Esp if you are doing even 1 or 2 dinner show, or 1 Sig rest, as it is 2 days of food and you will miss something else.
I like using 1-2 for 2 shows/ sig meals, and then I splurge 1 day with a char buffet for breakfast and a ts dinner.

My DD6 also gets a pizza once in a while at 8-9 at night when we had an early dinner, and the extra credits pay for her second dinner, cause she didn't eat, or she played to many hours in the pool.

I also LOVEEEE the extra snacks. I love getting ice cream at 2 PM, and a Coffee at 10 AM. I use extras for the choc candies and take them home with me too. If you can afford to splurge LOVE every minute of it.
