Is CRT really that hard to get if you call 180 days out??

I've never tried to book CRT, but am thinking about trying for our December trip. I plan to call 180 days out as soon as the call center opens. Not sure what my chances are of getting it though. I would prefer breakfast, but will take what I can get!

Also, I have seen posts about 180+10, but am not sure how that will affect the date I call. I have never tried to get this sought after of an ADR before, so I haven't had to be as worried about when I call.

With the new pricing scheme, it's not nearly as difficult as it used to be. That doesn't mean you should lollygag around and wait weeks to call, but it doesn't seem necessary to call sharply at 6:59 either.

My experience has been that the +10 is a nice convenience, but not necessary.

What do you mean by the new pricing scheme??? I was planning to call exactly 180 days out at 7:00am, but the way some people talk, even that is sometimes not enough. Maybe it is not as bad as I'm thinking!

We went to CRT in June for lunch and are going back (for lunch again) on January 17th. I in March for the June ADR and in October for the January ADR. Lunch seemed easy to get. Dinner was also available. Maybe it's just the breakfast that goes fast. I can imagine lots of people want one of the first ADRs of the day so they can get into the MK before the crowds to snap some pictures in front of Cinderella's Castle without anyone in the background!

According to the CM I spoke to, there is no character interaction at the dinner. The CM told me the Fairy Godmother does some sort of show.

We really enjoyed the lunch and would highly recommend it. It was nice to get out of the blazing heat and into the air-conditioned castle for a relaxing lunch in a relatively small restaurant.

Even though I've been able to get ADRs well after the 180 day mark, I would reserve early to get the date and time you want. Keep in mind that you have to prepay this meal.
