Is CR tower club worth the extra cost?

Hi,

I'm looking for opinions from anyone who stayed in the CR on the 12th floor tower club. Was the extra cost worth it for the services that are offered? We have stayed at the CR in a regular tower room twice before and we loved the room and hotel. All they have available for our upcoming trip in December is tower club level, so were trying to figure out if its worth it. Thanks for all you help.

In my opinion - Definitely NOT. Don't confuse the Tower Clube with Concierge at any other resorts. If you compare amenities and service you will be very dissapointed. Continental Breakfast items are available in the morning, cookies in the afternoon until either 2 or 4 (can't remember). Nothing after that. You can take the elevator down to the snack bar in the arcade (same exact donuts, ceral, etc that is available in the morning on the club floor). Buy the items a la carte and save yourself the money.

Well, I stayed on the Tower Club for the New Year's Holiday. Rates for ALL resorts were pretty expensive, so I figured "after spending this much, let's just spend a little more!" I felt that it was worth it (I don't think ANY room was worth the prices during the time I was there, though!).

Dollar for dollar, NO, it was not worth it. (don't even want to think about how much we "lost" by staying on the tower club verses a regular room and buying some cookies and bottled water every day) Will I ever stay there again? Yep. I enjoyed it, and as long as I have the extra money to spend, I'd stay there again.

Thanks for your opinions. I really enjoy hearing the pros and cons on paying extra for tower club room. These boards are so helpful in planning the perfect WDW vacation.

I stayed at the Contemp Tower Club for the first time over the Christmas holidays. It was just my daughter and myself for a few days, but we had a great time. We really enjoyed the Contemp. And I would like to mention that the concierge CMs were all great, especially Bill. I will definitely stay at the Contemp again. Here is the link to my On-Line Photo Albums. We love the tower club have been a few times and will be going back. I like the security of having key card access for the elevator and I like not having to go out for breakfast. We have a 3 and 11 yo who like to eat first thing upon waking up, so breakfast being right there was a big plus for us.

Another plus is you will be on the 12th floor, high above the noise from the resaurant area below.

Yes, that was wonderful!!! We were over Chef Mickey's/Concourse Steakhouse, and I was worried about noise because I have heard problems about it on the boards, but was pleasantly surprised that you could not hear it unless the room door to the atrium was open. Plus, the views on both sides are awesome from the 12th floor!
