I had booked our first night's dinner (Sept. 6 at 6pm) at the Contemporary Steakhouse since I have read the food is good and I wanted my mom to see the different resorts. Now I have read from several sites/posts that the lobby is almost completely under construction and that this may impact the dining experience at the restaurant. We don't mind some noise but we don't want to be surrounded by construction noises while we eat our dinner on our first night of vacation. Even if construction has ceased for the day I'm not sure that my mom would want to stare at construction walls during her meal. She really wanted to see the lobby with the monorail and all. The pictures I have seen make it difficult to tell exactly how the restaurant is affected.
Has anyone eaten at the steakhouse while the construction is going on? If so, how bad is it when it comes to both noise and view? I may still have time to find another ADR elsewhere but am worried about changing it too close to the trip. TIA!
