Is Costco worth it?

When my youngest was an infant, I bought the Kirkland formula and took it to his well baby appt along with the Enfamil I had for him basically just to get the ok from the doctor that I could switch formulas since the Kirkland one cost so much less. He said it was equal to Enfamil (or any of the regular formulas - Similac, Good Start) and to go ahead and switch. Worked great for us.

My 3 yr old loves the Mickey chicken nuggets from there - 5lb bag for $12 or so.

We've bought: croissants, muffins, already made rotisserie chicken (YUM!), Samsung 32" LCD HDTV, Panasonic Lumix camera, Kirkland brand detergent (supposedly highly rated in Consumer Reports), vitamins, brita filters and water bottles just to name a few. For the tv & camera, I did a lot of price comparison between local stores and websites and Costco was the lowest by quite a bit on both.

We love Costco! Some of our favorite items - Kirkland brand of canned chicken, tuna, and salmon. We get a lot of other food there too. Also, their optical department has great pricing for my kids' contacts and for eyeglasses.

DH & I keep both a Costco and Sam's club membership, and like both! At Costco we've had great deals on household things (lcd tv, desktop pc, printer, clothes) and gift items, even more than groceries and vitamins/meds.

You CANNOT beat their bakery for birthday cakes -- YUM!!!!! As good as our Publix bakery is, Costco edges past them, IMO.
