Is Contemporary construction done?

We will be going at the end of Aug. Is the construction done yet, or when is it suppost to be done?

Still under construction. Disney hasn't even officially announced what it will be yet as far as I know, so no idea on completion dates.

We were there over Christmas and one of the wings was torn down and had yet to be reconstructed. They don't even look close to being done.

Nope.

Interior construction on the existing building MIGHT be done. I'm not exactly sure of the timeline. Most of it IS done. All that's left is to open up the Waive (currently remodeling/being built in the old food and fun/arcade area down by check in), close the concourse steak house and remodel it into the new "grab and go" called Chef Mickey's express, and then close down the tempo grab and go that's now open. That MAY be done prior to August, but I seem to remember a timeframe that pointed to a bit later in the year.

As for the exterior construction...bank on that new tower (whatever it's going to be) being built for the next 18 to 24 months, at least. It might not take that long, but better to plan that it will than to expect otherwise.

By the end of August all the construction should be finished inside the Tower. At that time the only thing left to be finished is the opening of Chef Mickey's Express where the Concourse Steakhouse use to be and it was posted that they want to open it for August 14, 2008. However that has not been announced yet, so it's not a confirmed date. As it was already said once the Tower is finished they will still be working outside where the North Garden Wing use to be.
