Is concierge worth it?

I had my heart set on the Grand Calif. concierge using our DVC points. Well, I must've been looking at an old schedule because when I went to book it, the points were wayyyyy more than I thought. I ended up booking a standard room at GC, but could've done concierge at Paradise Pier for approx. the same # of points. So whaddaya think? GC standard or PP concierge?

They changed the way the points were done this year. Weeknight and weekend points are the same: Not weighted higher for the weekend, so if you were looking at weeknight points that is why the points seemed so much higher.

We were going to do PP conceirge but decided we'd get more of a bang for our $$ at Embassy Suites instead and we'll save our points this year to get a Grand Villa at WDW next year.
