Hi everyone. We (Me, DH and 3 sons (6,6,9) ) are going to US for the very 1st time to see WWOHP!!! YEAH  I have a deluxe room booked at HRH. I was wondering if it was worth the extra $100 to do club level. The only thing that is stopping me is the deluxe rooms are really big and have a pullout sofa. Decisions , decisions.....

We paid for the Club Room at RPR the first year we went to US/IOA. I really enjoyed it. However we have saved $$$ by bringing beer, water, and snacks to our room, and we eat downstairs every morning in The Kitchen. The breakfast buffet for our family is less than the cost of the upgrade to Club. Plus we always felt like we needed to get back to the Club Level to get the free happy hour drinks so that we felt like we were getting our money's worth. Club Level is great...but for me...I wouldn't pay an extra $100 a night.

i have stayed club level at hrh at least 6 times.

it is not financially worth it in the long run.

you would be better off with the deluxe room and have more space for your family.

I am a new poster (been reading boards for months) and I have booked HRH Club Level for June 2-4. We have been promised the "HP Preview" and I am excited because I am taking my two teenage daughters (15 and 16) and their bff (16) to celebrate all of their birthdays. Got a great APH rate, but am still wondering if club level is worth it for us. I am wondering if anyone has details about their stay on club level and possibly photos?

Also wanted to say that these boards are amazing and I have read so much valuable info on staying onsite. I have stayed at RPR (and gone the snack and cooler route in the room before) and loved it. I just thought this would be a cool upgrade for birthdays - if it is actually worth it.

hrh has the smallest club lounge out of the 3 onsite hotels.

breakfast offerings are great at hrh club, but the pastries are not replenished.
when they are gone, they are gone.

i have had that happen at 9 in the morning, thought it would be a good time to hit the club as most would be in the parks at that time.

true, the lounge was empty and so were the offerings.

there is an afternoon snack out for all, could be potato chips, pretzels, etc.

the evening hour of 5-7 usually has some variety and the sweet hour is 7-8 and has been limited on some occasions i have been there.
i do remember that some of the food items are not replenished once they are gone.
so, you kind of need to be there when the time starts.

i have stayed in the king suite, the queen deluxe and standard rooms on the 7th / club floor.

you will have more room in a deluxe room than a standard room.

only 3 allowed in the king suites.

cornishpixie, i would think that the teens would enjoy spending most of their time at the parks, city walk or the pool in the evening.

the club lounge is small and not much to do there.

the club at rph is larger.

the staff at the lounge are all very efficient and good at their jobs.
they are helpful in all ways.

i don't see it to your advantage to spend $100 more a night just for club.

with that extra cost, it might not be worth it food wise.

only 4 deluxe rooms at club level.
not great chances of obtaining one when you check in.

but, if you have your heart set on club, then go for it.
it is a thrill to try club level as least once.
if you are on a budget, stick with the deluxe room.

That was just the kind of info that I needed! I wonder if I changed our ressie back to regular room (not club) if that would bump us off the "preview" list for HP because the new booking would be after the March announcement date. If I messed that up the dds would kill me!

We have stayed CL at all three many times. HRH is everybody's favorite! The people are the best and the lounge size didn't make any difference. Looking forward to being there in August! My kids are 13 and 17 and have been doing Universal since they were 3 and 7. CL HRH is their ultimate favorite.:woohoo:

don't do anything that will kill youse.............

you need to be positive if you make any changes that it will not affect the preview for parry hotter!

if it would become a new ressie, that might screw you up.

if all they did would be change room type, and keep the original booking date...............???........????

just be sure before you change the potter package around.

i just don't know how it will be for the potter package.

I am thinking I will stay with my original ressies and hope for the best. We are planning on checking in super early to get room keys for FOTL and I think I can start using club level then, right? We will be there on a Wed-Fri so maybe it won't be too crowded. What the heck, it's their birthday celebration! I am really excited about trying the Hard Rock. We have enjoyed RPR a few times and are looking forward to somewhere new.
I actually have another question... Do you reserve and pay extra for a deluxe room on club level or do you just randomly get assigned one and it is the same cost? We are currently booked in a 2 queens club level room.

i check in before 7:30 in the morning and use club once i get my hotel key.
club lounge opens around 7.

deluxe rooms cost more than the standard rooms no matter which floor you are on.

Usually you can't book a deluxe room on club level. You can call and request a room # prior to arrival to be added on your reservation. There are 8 deluxe club level rooms total - 4 king and 4 double queen.

7019, 7041, 7099, and 7101. These are double queen deluxe rooms.
7016, 7039, 7102, and 7119 are deluxe king rooms.

There is no extra charge if you get a deluxe on club level. The rate is the same as a standard club level room. It's just the luck of the draw. Nice when it works out though!

Y'all have the best info! I am going to call and try to give a room request. It would be awesome to have a deluxe room - especially with three teenagers! I am looking forward to checking out club level and reporting back on the boards!
