Has anyone ever eaten at Citricos at the Grand Floridian for New Year's Eve? If so, how was it? It is my understanding that there is a set menu/price for this evening but the cast member wasn't able to give me any details. New Year's Eve is my 21st birthday and I had my heart set on California Grill but when I called to make the ADR they said it's like $400 to eat there on NYE! :rotfl: Would Citricos be a good second choice? Thanks for any input!

Citricos was my #1 fav until Chef Gray moved to Narcooses and their chef came to Citricos. The food is still good but just doesn't go that extra edge into the ether of making me cry tears of joy. Still it's pretty darn tasty.

It's so frustrating because California Grill was my first choice followed by Narcoossee's. Well, since it is NYE, both have fixed price set menus that were very expensive. This is one reason I don't like having my birthday on NYE!

We went to Citicos in May for our anniversary and it was really good. I would definitely go again. I think you'll really enjoy it. Have a happy birthday! :wizard:

I cant speak to NYE, but we ate there 2 weeks ago and loved it. My fav meal of our trip and we also ate ate CG, Le Cell, Kona and Boma. CG was very good but I think its a little hyped because of the view and location. I asked our Citricos waiter about the recent chef switch and he was very happy with the current/new chef-- said he really listens when they tell him that certain things arent working on the menu.

Just ate there tonight and everything was great! Had the smoked beef carpachio for an app and the Wild Stripped Bass for my entree and then the Warm Banana Chocolate Tart for dessert! Everything was very, very good!!!

Citricos is also my favorite, for the food and the atmosphere.

Although I wasn't the biggest fan of the chocolate tart (If I didn't LOVE chocolate, it would have hated it!) :teeth:

And I agree with the NYE thing, it really changed some of my plans too. The $400+ for the CG on NYE is for a "private party" that will be going on up there with drinks, meal, entertainment included. However, i didn't think they were doing a fixed price thing at Citricos too.
I actually have an ADR for the GFC on NYE but I might have to skip that since I've been hearing that they close the park due to occupancy in the afternoon. If we get in to the park when we arrive, we might be a little to scared to leave for fear of not getting back in after dinner. :confused3

Love Citrico's although they have had some recent chef changes and I have not tried it since the changes.. Food has always been consistently good, great service and wonderful ambiance...
