is Cinco De Mayo a busy day

My DAP expires May 9th and unless DH gets a new job, I can't renew. So I want to go one last time the first week of May. I checked Anaheim Plaza rates, and they are up to $89 for their cheapest room, but the week before, last week of April $49! Is it typically busy on May 5th? Can't figure out why the cheapet hotel on Harbor, is expensive that week other than Cinco De Mayo.

I asked this same question last year, lol. And NO it was not busy last year on Cinco de Mayo. We were there that week and it was lovely. The longest we waited on anything was maybe 20 mins?

Thanks! I"m confused as to why the hotel is about $40 more this week as opposed to the week before. I checked the convention center and nothing special. I might go the last week of April if DH approves. My husband got a 60 day notice so he's officially a statistic so cheap as possible before the AP's run out

I was there in 2008 over that same stretch of time and it was NOT busy. We just booked our Tortilla Jo reservation on a DIFFERENT night...that was the only place we thought might get busy, based on the holiday.

Can't answer the hotel question. That's strange. Why don't you call the hotel and ask? Maybe they will match the previous week's rate!!!
