Is CC crowded when the Wish is there?

I know the Wish is a lot larger than the other ships. Does CC feel more crowded when it's there? Is it harder to find a few lounge chairs together?

We were there at Thanksgiving. We didn't hurry off the ship and arrived mid-morning. We were able to secure 12 seats/loungers together near one end of the beach.

Wow - I had no idea. I feel like every podcast I've listened to has referred to it as SO BIG. Good to know! That actually makes me feel better about the whole cruise. I'm not a fan of the mega ships. Thanks all!

It is ever so slightly bigger, but capacity on the following vessels:

Fantasy - 4,000 passangers
Wish - 4,000 passengers (according to some online sources, but I have been told by CMs its about 100-200 more than Fantasy)
Allure of the Seas - 5,484
Celebrity Beyond - 3,260
Disney Magic - 2,700
Icon of the Seas - wildly varying numbers out there, but maximum seems to be 7,600

Different websites post different numbers, but these were some that I saw.

No issues for us in October. Felt similar to our previous visits to CC.

DCL's Mega Ship, Adventure, doesn't sail until 2025 and then it's going to Singapore.

Wish is same capacity as Dream and Fantasy. We were just there the week after Thanksgiving on the Dream on a SOLD OUT cruise. No issue finding multiple chairs together and plenty of beach space for the kids. I heard one of the cruise directors when we were on the magic say that there is like 5 chairs per person on Castaway for the Magic but then like 2-3 for each person on the larger ships. Gotta think that includes kids that don't use chairs. So PLENTY of chairs.

Now if you're wanting front row, hustle off right at docking and get your prime seating. You can see the beach from all of the chairs tho so its no biggie LOL!

Just relax and have a great time.

We did a B2B Christmas sailing on the Wish December 1-8, 2023. Both sailings were full. There was a sign at guest services saying no upgrades available because the ship was full. I didn't notice any more crowding on Castaway than any of our other 4 sailings. Have fun!

I agree with the above posts. We didn’t notice any difference when we sailed on the Wish vs our other Dream and Fantasy cruises.

The layout of the Wish makes the ship itself feel crowded in my opinion. When the Dream and Fantasy came online we noticed Castaway Cay definitely felt more crowded than when we were there with the Magic and Wonder. Same with the Wish.
