Is Captain Jack Sparrow Back?

Our family went to Disneyland in January and was so dissapointed that Captain Jack was not walking around the park anymore. (At least that is what one of the shop employees told me). But...my cousin was there this month and saw him! I'm so sad because he totally made our first trip. Is he back?

Yes he is back and very charming I might add. He's greeting guests and taking photos by the RoA near New Orleans Square. He's also staged at the end of the Pirated sneak peek, but he was performing more there vs. interacting.

Yep! We saw him on 04.07.11 right after getting off POTC by the French Markey. Although we didn't get our picture with him because he was heading to lunch

He was gone from the parks for quite some time, with lots of rumors circulating as to the reason why. Many say that he was too popular with the ladies. , so when the CM told you that he was gone that was correct at the time.

He was out at the Halloween party (MTOTP) in DCA in 2009, which I can confirm.

Anyways, now he is regularly appearing in conjunction with the new Pirates movie sneak peek from what I understand. It looks likes, according to PP, he is in various spots between Frontierland (where the preview is) and NOS.

We looked for him back in March and couldn't find him. Glad to hear he is back. Hopefully he will stay around til our next trip.

We saw him as we were getting off of POTC on our trip 2 weeks ago but he was headed back to the cast members only area for a break so we didn't get a picture or autograph.

He is definitely back as he interacted with us while eating at the patio of Cafe orleans! He saw my fiancee's casted forearm, and reminded him not to arm wrestle with me again. LOL!

Oh yeah!!! I always wondered why WDW never had Jack, but oh well. I hope he sticks around through June. I read somewhere that he hung out on Tom Sawyer's Island in the Pirate's Lair. Is he not there anymore? If I can get him elsewhere, may not venture over there if I don't have to.

We found him doing autographs and pics in New Orleans Square two weeks ago.

In 2008 the Dobies saw him peeking from the bushes on Tom Sawyer Island as we came around the back side on the Columbia. Cracked us up!!!

Yes, seriously. He was the highlight of our trip in 2007. He asked my son for HIS autograph. He was so charismatic. His appearance back in the park is pulling me back faster than we can fill up our vacation $allotment$!

I'm wondering if he's only back because of the Pirates sneak peek? When I saw him he was in front of the sneak peek area with Angelica (as the picture shows). We were there 4/6-4/8, and I saw him everyday of out trip.

We've seen him at the exit of the Sneak Peek too, but with another pirate not the girl (which as the pic shows, wasn't a good choice as she didn't seem to care she was there). Today he was in NOS. Just a small line of about 10 people.

WDW had Jack appearing in the MK last week when I was there. He wasn't nearly as good as the one that has appeared at DL in the past, but they at least have him represented there doing a show across from Swiss Family Treehouse.

Yes!!! So stoked that Jack's back. Loved him when I saw him in April of 2008. IMO, he's the best face character interaction for those of us who are older than elementary school age and don't usually go to DL with children. I hope that they get someone new to play Anjelica (sp? Penelope Cruz's character), i.e. someone who actually wants to be there.

Yep, we saw Jack in the Magic Kingdom on one of our trips. I believe it was 2008, or maybe 2007?? He was really good. I suppose both parks have better ones than others.

It's likely you will see Captain Jack, especially considering that when the movie comes out this summer, we might see the DVD release for Christmas.

In DL he is now at Big Thunder Ranch for the POTC previews.

In WDW MK he is back at the Pirates League show about across from the POTC exit.
