I was just reading that Captain EO was down in June and that there were Guardian of the Galaxy posters going up, and that there are rumors it may close as the one in Tokyo permanently did. Has it reopened or does anyone have any idea whats happening?

They're currently showing a preview for Big Hero 6 in that space, but I haven't heard when that will end or what will be going in that space next. Between GotG preview and Big Hero 6, I believe they put Captain EO back in, so perhaps they will do that again?

OK so it's currently closed and speculation of a reopen is up in the air? I can live with that. It will be interesting to see how Disney handles this. As much as I enjoyed Captain EO as a Michael Jackson tribute I am very much ready to see something new and current. I guess only time will tell. Maybe they will tell what will come of it once they announce all the other things for Disneylands 60th in the spring.

I doubt it will come back. They removed all of the monitors outside the theater. Unfortunately, I think it will be used for movie previews until the figure out something else to do with it.

Yeah, I don't think Capt Eo is coming back since all the outside stuff is gone. The GotG and Big Hero 6 previews have been awesome though. Fog, lights, seat movement; pretty cool for just a 15 minute intro. Not sure what they will do with it when there isn't a big Marvel movie coming out though.

Well Captain EO was supposed to be temporary anyway and I am stunned that it stayed in as long as it did. However there was a big following behind it so for that I understand. However I guess it is a good place to utilize movie previews like you say until they come up with something epic to put in there. If they don't know what it will be yet then it will probably be a big deal when they do figure it out.

Boo!

I watched it three times last time we were there because I knew its time was almost up. Disney needs to release this on a DVD now. Pretty please with sugar on top?!
