Is bounceback always offered?

I vaguely remember being offered bounceback when we were at WDW at CSR in May of 2007. I didn't accept the offer and later kicked myself for not paying attention.

Now I'm hoping they will offer a bounceback.

Is it usually offered? If so, how soon do they require you return?:lovestruc

No, bounceback is not always offered as it is a once in a while kinda thing.I recall when it was offered last year and prior to that it was a few years since it was available. I think it is offered when room vacancies are fairly high for certain time periods so they try to fill them while guests are still experiencing the "magic".;)

From past experiences seems that they are usually offered the first half of the year for trips taking place the second half of the year.

1) Bounceback is offered to fill rooms in weak times.
2) Usually, the availble dates are in Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr/Aug/Sep.
3) You must book the bounceback date BEFORE you check-out.

We were at the POFQ last September and did not receive a bounceback. When we stayed at the Poly in November we did receive a bounceback offer.

Anyone who's just home, or at the World now, who can confirm/deny a bounceback offer?

I just dream about getting a bouceback offer when we go in October. Does anyone know what kind of discount it is? Any more details. Do they give you a very narrow window within which you must book the bounceback trip?:confused3

I just returned from a trip last week at BC and received my first Bounceback offer after many visits to WDW. It was available for rooms through mid-December. I used it for my return trip in October for F&W. I will say that the majority of the rooms available for the bounceback rate were the higher priced rooms - with views, with club level/concierge, and suites. No standard rooms seemed to be available at any of the Epcot resorts for the special bounceback rate.

I can say that the AP and regular room discount that's going on now has the same issue. Although I've found that the closer it gets to your travel date, the more rooms open up at different price levels. I had a WL room booked last May during an AP discount time, but Poly was not offering any rooms at the special rate. I checked every single day until one day - Poly was suddenly available for $244 a night. Worth switching over for me. Keep checking!

Someone on another thread just got back (I believe yesterday) and she said there was a bounceback offer in her room (Poly) through the end of 2008 for mods and deluxe. I'm just wondering -- I'm staying at Movies -- can I request a bounceback (if they're not offered at the budgets) for a mod room? I was really thinking I'd like to go to a mod next time, but if it's not offered in my room, I'm not sure I can get it.

Last year we went in September. Stayed at ASM. Before we checked out I went downstairs and asked if there was a bounceback offer. There was and we are returning on September 19th for free food.

Okie, gotta ask because I was wondering about the bounceback and how it might work with free dining next year.

If there is a bounceback offer when we visit WDW in a few weeks and we accept the offer, how do we add on free dining? Do we accept the offer and then add on free dining later in 2009 when they offer it to disney visa holders by just calling and adding it on later?

Or do they let you sign up for it when you accept bounceback?

Kaky,
We always stay in the value resort and the bounceback was for free dining.
We would have probably skipped this year if it were not for the free dining.
:cheer2:

We're leaving in 11 days on the bounceback offer. Considering how TS Fay hit all of Florida these past few days, it wouldn't surprise me if Disney offers it again due to people being reluctant to go next year during the hurricane season.;)

if you don't find a bounceback offer on a brochure or card in your room, check the resort channels on the television. And ask at the concierge desk in your hotel. sometimes the previous guest has taken the card (I'm guilty of that one!) or it has fallen behind a dresser or something. We missed the bounceback offer in our room in May 2007-there may have been a card but I didn't pay any attention to the stuff sitting on the dresser...there was something about DVC so I ignored the several items laying on the dresser. One of them was probably the offer! (there were bounceback offers going on, we found out after we left!)

Since I'd been reading the Disboards, this year in May, I looked for the card, and sure enough it was there. We didn't book it though, because we'd already booked for FD!
