DH and I will be staying at AKL in May. We're going to try Jiko and we've already tried Boma for dinner, so we were thinking about trying Boma for breakfast. I noticed that the Boma breakfast seems a bit expensive at $14.99. That's only $1 less than a character meal and $5 more than the WONDERFUL all-you-can-eat breakfast we had a Spoodles. We were just wondering if it's worth the money. :) Thanks!

We think it is worth it - the food was wonderful and I had several things made to order since I have food allergies. My girls were ten months old and I found alot of things that they would eat - Why don't you check out the menus on Deb Wills' site to see if you would like it. The meal cost is on average with other meals- When did you eat at Spoodles? Their breakfast Buffet was discontinued so everthing is ala carte which can end up more expensive.

Good luck! :):)

We have checked out the menu on Deb's site and still don't know if it's worth it. It seems a bit expensive, IMO. I know I would like it, it's just a matter of if it's worth it. It just seems a bit pricey for a breakfast buffet w/o characters.

We ate at Spoodles the first week of August this year. I know that the buffet has been discontinued. As I said originally, we ate their all-you-can-eat dish. It's called the Mediterranean Breakfast Platter and is GREAT! It's a lot of food..all you can eat...and just $10.99! :)

I know it's a "high end" price for a buffet, but I suppose I could say it was worth it. We used to go to Rainforest for breakfast on our AK park day. Now, we do Boma buffet, then zip on over to the AK.
And in your case--you are already there. No PS seem to be needed, so maybe when you arrive at the Lodge, you could wander down one morning and have a first hand look at what they have. Might just be enough to sway you one way or the other--

We stayed at AKL this Jan and had Bomo's breakfest a few times. It was great everytime, something for everyone! Well worth the visit!

Is it worth it? Let me see, how can I carefully phrase this......

YES!

We've got it on our "must-eat" list for our upcoming trip, and can't wait!

:) Sounds like we might have to give it a try. I'll just let DH pay for it so I don't see the price. ;)

We ate breakfast at Boma this past July. The spread that is available there cannot be compared to a pre-plated meal. You have to see the spread to appreciate the offerings, not to mention a few items that are very exotic such as the "Bushman's Skillet". Also, juice is included at Boma, and I don't remember paying any extra for regular coffee or tea as well. Taking that into consideration (unless all you prefer is water), you may feel that it may indeed be worth it. The difference in the price between Boma and Spoodles would actually be $4, not $5.
