When we decided to buy into DVC, the current restaurant offerings at each resort was definately taken into consideration. AKL offered two wonderful restaurants, Boma and Jiko (Sanaa will be opening in AKV), so it was obvious that it was the best choice for us.

I am not a big fan of buffets, but Boma definately is different and offers a great selection of unique dishes.

Side note: Is that a Min Pin with non-cropped ears in your signature? We have a 10 year old Min Pin with cropped ears and tale.

Breakfast was so-so. Pretty much what you'd experience at any other buffet breakfast.

Dinner was good.

We've done Boma twice. A lot of the food is sweet and we just didn't enjoy it.

You'll find plenty of supporters, but we did not like it at all. Found the place over-crowded, loud and poorly laid-out. And we found the food to be either excessively overspiced or totally bland (as in tasteless)

Best buffet on property breakfast & dinner and 2 of our favorite meals are Boma Breakfast & Boma dinner :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We've never tried breakfast there, but dinner is probably our favorite meal on property.:earsboy:

Breakfast yes
Dinner no

oh, I would say the opposite if I had to choose one.
Dinner has alot of selections...american and african.
Breakfast is still good. but also pretty much the standard selection of choices.

Loved breakfast, but dinner was even better. Yes it was loud, but the food was worth it. There is something for everyone- adventurous eaters and kids as well. It's one of our favorites despite the difficulty in getting there and back when staying elsewhere. It's become easier just to drive there.

Oldest DD and I loved Boma for dinner. DH and youngest DD hated it! I know that doesn't help, but I would give it a try- you might end of loving it.:lovestruc

We loved breakfast. Kids aren't big breakfast eaters and they liked it alot. Dinner is very good. Big variety and enough choices for the kids too.

We've only had dinner there but we'd definitely go back there again. We normally don't care much for buffets but we enjoyed the variety of foods offered and how they were prepared. We don't eat a lot for breakfast so we haven't been to any of the breakfast buffets.

Can't comment on Breakfast, but we really like it for dinner. It has several "standard" items that please usual tastes, but it also has lots to try if you are just a little adventurous. I didn't find any of the flavors to be "offensive" though I liked some better than others. I liked 95% of what I tried. Have taken picky eaters there and a vegetarian and they were all comfortable with the available choices.

We've been for breakfast (good, there were a few selections somewhat "different" than the other buffets, though nothing amazing) and dinner. Our kids are adventurous eaters and oldest dd was disappointed it wasn't what we're used to eating in terms of the African and Indian we eat at home. She thought it would be even better than the restaurants we're used to because she believes everything's better at Disney.

It's worth trying, because there really is something for everyone.

Best Breakfast on property
We didn't care for the dinner

I could eat breakfast and dinner at Boma every day for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.
