Is bay view vs garden worth extra $$

we are booked at YC with a bay view but a lower price for earlier dates just popped up for a garden view. It will be mean rearranging hotel stays at US as well as Disney but only at a cost of $25 and my time. Lol. Is the bay view that much nicer? Bc the rooms do have balconies? It is about $75 a night cheaper over a 4 night stay.

All of the YC rooms, except for one club level room, have balconies. Only you can decide if a view is worth it. I personally will not pay for more than a garden view, but that's me. :)

It really depends on if you'll be enjoying that view. There was a time when we travelled to Disney and didn't care about our room view, so we always just booked standard/garden. However, now we find that a nice view enriches our vacation experience, so we usually pay the extra.

I would book the BV room. An extra $75 per night is a lot of money and GV rooms can have really nice views, IMO. I actually dislike the YC water view rooms because you can't book only LV, it also includes views of Storm Along Bay which I dislike.(and have ended up staying in, unfortunately)

The first time we stayed at YC, we had a standard view booked, but we were upgraded to a waterview. We walked into the room and saw the sun reflecting on the water, making it sparkle and we both said "wow" at about the same time. Well, that spoiled us. We have stayed at YC several times since then and will not book anything less than the waterview. Of course, that is just us. We spend a considerable amount of time in our room and we love spending time on the balcony. Enjoying the resorts is part of why we go to WDW.

As others have said, only you can decide if the extra expense is worth it to you.

For me the hassle of having to rearrange everything with US etc etc would make me leave as is, unless I really wanted to free up the extra money in my budget.

I never pay for a view, no matter what resort I stay in. YC is my favorite resort and I stay there if it's available every trip. Last time I was there I had a room on the 4th floor that looked right out over the bay and to BW. It was beautiful to sit there at night with a glass of wine and watch the lights and loved getting up early in the mornings and watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee. I've also had a room with the wedding gazebo view a number of times, which I think is a garden view and almost all of those rooms have at least a partial view of the lake. I've also had a room on the Dolphin side of the resort and looked out over the woods/ditch. It was just as peaceful in the mornings as any of the others ones since the little Disney animals like rabbits were out but I wasn't crazy about it at night since no matter how much they spray for flying critters, I'm going to get bit if there is one within a 50 mile range, they seek me out. Every single one of those views was booked with a standard room, I'd save the money and go with garden view.
