Is Atlantis scary?

We went on atlantis in 2004 on our last sea world visit, but I can't remember! I remember the big drop but other than that is it pretty tame? Just trying to figure out if it will be too much for my 4 year old!

She liked test track, dinosaur, soarin, barnstormer, etc.

If she liked those she'll love Atlantis. My DD8 loved it and she is pretty easily scared on rides.

Is your 4 year old tall enough? I believe it has a really tall height requirement, something like 48 inches; but maybe I am wrong....


Also, I don't think it's that scary, but there are some blackouts; and the hidden drop/roller coaster type track after the big drop. So that might scare her if she doesn't know it's coming.

What about Splash Mountain? To me it is more like Splash Mountain because of the big drop only with a scarier theme. (If she can handle dinosaur she should be fine with the theme.) Also, there is that little coaster part, but it is less intense than BTMRR in my opinion.

I think the height is 42" with an adult and maybe 48" alone but I'm not 100% on that as everyone in our group was over 48".

It's not really scary, just the drops. If she can handle splash mountain she should be fine. I think getting splashed with water at the end makes up for the "big drop" with most kids that otherwise might consider it scary.

My DD loved it so we ended up riding it twice. I think the pp is correct, the height requirement is something like 42" as long as they are riding with an adult and 48" to ride alone.

took my dd5 the last time we went and she hated it. it was dark and you cannot see the drops. She was afraid of every ride we did after that! I had to bribe her to go on splash!m ( which she liked!)
