what a horrific situation to be in,my feeling is that he should be returned to his parents, although i find myself examining those feelings because i may feel differently had both the couples been white

He was only 10 months old Sarah so not old enough to make that decision. However the social worker appointed as "Guardian" had worked with lots of foster children before and said that because he had had a good stable start to life he would make the transition very easily. It was very well portrayed I thought. I missed the very beginning so didn't see how the mistake happened but the "Birth" couple knew from early on in the pregnancy but the biological parents didn't find out until after he had been born. I also didn't hear all the judge said so missed the bit about the birth parents being allowed to see him once a month. (My daughter's boyfriend yattered through that bit - I could have screamed why do they always pick the crucial end bits to ask stupid questions! )

Yeah I know what you mean but I think the birth parent's barrister did a pretty good job questioning the relevance of that statement. Either way I wouldn't have wanted to have made that decision. I wonder if the hospital was ever sued for negligence does anyone know? It didn't say on the programme and although I remember a report in the paper I can't remember much.

LOL yes I did misunderstand you but put it down to the time I replied(2.30am). I only came on line last night to get try and find the hack for my dvd player (I lost the copy given to me when I bought it) to make it multiregion so that when we go back to WDW I can buy some dvd at their great prices but I couldn't resist coming on here to have a look and see what was going on! That's teach me to read it properly won't it but yea I hate it too.
