My friend and I get together thanksgiving evening and split up the shopping. I have to go this year..there is one thing DH and I want. I told my Mom and she thinks we are nuts...

I have been checking out the adds on the black friday websites.

I normally go every year with my Mom.

But this year she is going away. So I just don't know if I want to go out alone. We normally have such a great time. Very sad.

This guy has been making the news - I saw him interviewed on the Today show. 18 year old college student who never leaves his dorm and dines on Lucky Charms. But he has the retail world in such an uproar. He has obtained copies of the BF ads and has scanned them in and has also made a page where he lists the items in text format. Sears/K-Mart has threatened to sue him for copyright violations, so he removed their ads, but left the text list - but renamed it Sbears and something else for K-Mart.

There are now a bunch of copycat sites that were stealing his ads, so now he has placed a very annoying watermark BF2005 across the ads to discourage pirating. But he still has the largest selection of ads on the net.

But some retailers, like Disney are supporting his site. They actually sent him a press release for his site. (As they said - an informed shopper is more apt to actually shop on BF).

My Mom & Sister are spending the night Thanksgiving night. We are going to watch Christmas with the Kranks while we chart out our game plan. I hope t9o be pulling up to WaWa for a cup of coffee before 5 am. I can't wait! Black friday is my favorite holiday!!!!

The high in Chicago is going to be in the lower 30's on Friday. Can you imagine how cold that means for 5 am??

Nonetheless, I'll be out shopping!

My fiance and I are going to the Circle Centre in Indy. I don't usually go to shop, just to "take it all in." The sounds of carols, people talking...the sights of crowded lines and new holiday merchandise...it all gets me excited for the holidays!

If I felt that I *had* to buy things I'd go crazy! I just like to look.

Am I nuts?

Jump on a plane Thursday night & come shopping with us!!!

I remember last year it was FREEZING out there. I think we were in line at 4:30 for KB Toys, and we were a good 30 people from the front!!! I feel bad for the little kids that have to tag along with some people. They have no idea why we do it!!

I did get an email with that website a few days ago, but I wasn't sure if I should believe it or not! I guess it's real. Gotta go check it out again!
