Is Anyone Even Going to Hollywood Studios Now?

I just watched the DIS Team's latest video re HS Construction and it made me wonder if there is any point in going to HS when so many of the attractions are in flux, construction walls are up everywhere and the whole park is undergoing a glacially slow transformation. Really, there are only 3 surviving attractions that I would still enjoy: Star Tours, Great Movie Ride & Muppet Vision 3D. I love the imagineering at ToT & Aerosmith but rarely enjoy these rides anymore. Park Hoppers could work here but even if you have them and use 'em, is it really worth the effort to walk in and out of HS when the day could be better spent at any other park. What's the collective's opinion? Is HS worth even one of your precious WDW vacation days?

I know if I went now - between what I don't WANT to do, and what I CAN'T do (becuase of neck surgery), the only reason I would probably go at this point is to see Fantasmic! (I mean it IS the Sorcerer). But if I didn't have a park hopper already, I certainly would not buy one just for that.

For me ... probably. I can't say definitely since I haven't been there since the major construction started, but on my last trip we still had a full day at HS, and I don't think much of what we did is closed.
We always do Toy Story Midway Mania and Muppet Vision 3D, and I love the Frozen Sing Along. We try to do Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and occasionally we'll do Great Movie Ride (but we really don't enjoy GMR much). What we really love is a lot of the character meets - a lot of my favorite character M&G areas are at HS, including a really cool Toy Story area. And I like a lot of the "old Hollywood" outfits that the characters wear.
And of course, we always end the night with Fantasmic!

I think I can spend a whole day at HS, even now. But I know that not everyone feels that way ... for some people, it might be a park to be skipped. I think it depends on what interests you. I understand that not everyone can spend a full day there, but I'm one of those people who gets aggravated when people just write it off - if you want to spend a full day there, you can. You just may have to try some things you haven't done before.

I have 2 days in the parks in July, I'm still spending time at DHS. It's worth it to me for ToT.

If my eyes are any indication, yes, people are still going to Hollywood Studios.
I was there yesterday and it was pretty packed.

Of course it's still worth going!
It was never a huge park to begin with, but there's not THAT much stuff closed. The good stuff is all still there.

You can't have people miss out on Tower of terror, rocknroller coaster, and star tours alone. Muppets is icing on the cake.

I wouldn't miss it for anything. I've only ever done ToT, GMR and TSMM for rides - RnRC hurts my neck and Star Tours makes me sick. I haven't been since serious construction started, we were there in March so didn't notice any construction. I have an AP and tend to hop in out of it two or three times a trip.

Of course - we don't skip any of the 4 main parks

I wouldn't miss it for anything

Looks like there's still lots of love for HS!
If you could wish just one fav old HS attraction back & have it stay forever, which one would it be?

Well go on arrival night I think (arrive around 5-5:30pm to the park) and stay for fantasmic.
I'll grab fastpasses for what I can and see how we go.

We may spend one morning there before a waterpark afternoon, just to re-do TSMM, TOT, RnR.

Our family is a yes. Some of our favorite rides are there (Star Tours, Tower of Terror), and I still haven't managed Toy Story Mania. I have been firmly told that we MUST go to Hollywood Studios even if we take a beach trip just to ride Tower of Terror (not that the 11 year old rules...)

Just one? Who Wants to be a Millionaire, HANDS DOWN!!! Loved that! (And I've told my story here of getting on stage, and I forget how many, but quite a few rounds through - got pins, a shirt, a hat, and some other stuff) :)

I think that the death blow everyone is putting on the current state of the Studios is actually overrated. I just got back from a 12 day trip to WDW and I visited HS a number of times lunch at Sci Fi a number of times and had great times there. If you go there with a negative attitude then yeah u prob wont like it but give it a chance

Anxiously awaiting my trip for September but I was planning on going maybe at around 3 pm and doing a couple rides and then a character meal.

More has closed since our last visit in January, but I would still definitely go. I agree that the scuttle about the park not being worth it is way overblown. There is still plenty to see and do. Would I pay $100 for a 1-day ticket if I only had one park to choose? No. But with a hopper or AP, I wouldn't miss it. We'll go there for sure next month when we're down, probably more than once in fact.

HS has always been my least favorite park - I think I might have gone a total of 10 times during the six months that I worked for the company.

I'll likely visit more once they actually finish construction.
