Is anyone else totally excited about Elton John's wedding?

I've been following this story since he first announced the news awhile back. Now they've set a date, December 21st!! My husband has been razzing me about it but I'm truly excited. I think it's great that he has found someone to spend his later life with, who truly makes him happy. Especially after all his "wild" years early in his career. Kudos to the happy couple!

I do, however get excited by weddings, births and other celebrations of friends and relatives.

Well, I am happy for he & his partner that they have found each other and made a nice life together, and I certainly wish him happiness with his union, but I don't know if I can say I am "totally excited".

I wouldn't go so far as "totally excited" but I've always kind of had a soft spot for him and I'm very happy for them. He seems like a good person and I'm glad he and his partner are able to have their relationship officially recognized.

From what I have read he has been with his partner for a long time so it seems nice and logical for them to make it official. Especially since he is getting older, its nice to have your love be able to make important decisions about care and property, etc. I was not aware that this could be done since it is almost impossible to do it in the u.s.a. Here in Flordia gay and lesbian couples can't even adopt the children that they have fostered for years. Sad.

I didn't get an invite either, bummer...oh well I wouldn't have been able to afford anything on the registry I'm sure.

I grew up listening to Elton John, my mom is a huge fan, I'm a fan too and thrilled he is able to marry. Would love to see the pictures on the internet, I bet it will be a fabulous wedding.

The only reason I'm not "totally excited" is because his attire won't rival Princess Diana's wedding gown......or maybe it will hmmmmm.

He and David have made it very clear that there will be absolutely NO photographers allowed at the wedding. They've been offerd 6 million pounds (about 10mil US I think) for the photo op but said that it would cheapen the experience. I would love to see a wedding photo though. sigh.....

We wern't invited because it is going to be a very small wedding. The only guests will be their parents.
