Just wondering if any of you that are scheduled to leave within the next few days are planning on canceling/postponing your vacations?

We are going full steam ahead with our plans.
I just read that MCO will be closing to all commercial flights at 5pm tomorrow.
Our flight will get in well before that deadline, so all is a go for us :teeth:

We're down here now, been here since Tuesday! We've been at the DTD Hilton and we're checking into the AKL tomorrow, then into the VWL on Oct 1st. The weathers been beautiful so far and my prediction(or hopeless optmism;)) is the Jeanne turns and goes north.

Have a great trip!!

We flew back early from our vacation in Disneyland to make sure that our house is secured for the latest hurricane in the Orlando area.

We have delayed our vacation by a few days. We were supposed to check in at Pop Century today, but have rescheduled the trip for Thursday. Jeanne is projected to come very close to my home and I wanted to be here to board up my home. We'll be ready to evacuate if necessary.

nope - we're still going ahead
My main concern with Jeanne is MILs Barefoot Bay/Melbourne house. It took some damage w/Frances and Im not sure how much more it can take. MIL & DH are still leaving here early Wed morn, due to arrive in FL late Thurs. If nec they will take 75 instead of 95. If there is no liveable house they have friends they can stay with.
Next Sat they will pick up DS & myself at MCO. We'll be checking into VWL.
I have a backup in place (Caribbean Beach) for the last 2nights of our vaca. We are suppose to be spending these nights at MILs. After she sees how her house is doing we'll decide if we will cancel CB or not.
She can go back to her friends after we leave.

Here is what Southwest says:

Updated September 24, 2004 - 10:30 PM ET

Due to the anticipated affect of Hurricane Jeanne, we will provide our regularly scheduled MCO service until 3:00 PM ET on Saturday, September 25; and then we will discontinue our flight operations for the remainder of the day. The resumption of service is contingent upon Hurricane Jeanne’s movement, as well as the subsequent conditions of the airport facilities, runways, and airport services. We anticipate providing our next update to this page by 12:00 PM ET on Saturday, September 25.

We were schedueld to leave today but changed our leave date til Tuesday. Hopefully evetything will be better then!
