I have been freezing since starting WW...it;s cold where i live, but i am freezing even in the house. Is this beacuse of lower amounts of food? better food? is there something i should be doing diff? I take multivitiman's and i am eating as healthy as i can.
anyone else always cold?

thank you

I am freezing all the time and I live in AZ! :sunny: :sunny: I don't know what to tell you other than take a sweater wherever you go. There have been times I have sat at my desk and worked on the computer with gloves on...

Hi thanks for the reply.....I went ahead and made a Dr appt, I have had problems with low iron and low blood sugar in the past ( iron prob about 3 years ago, and low sugar when i was a little girl) and both times i felt the same way i do now...So i am going to be safe than sorry.
Anyways...i have not had a check-up in 3 years LOL it's due. plus,
I dont think i should relate it weight-loss since i have only lost a little over 4 lbs since jan26th...if i had lost a big chunk i could see it, but i believe what i lost in lbs was my junk food i quit eating ;)

Tina - I am always finding myself cold too. It started after I lost about 30 pounds. I do think some of it is the fat content that we lose in our bodies. I was always hot - sat in my office with a fan running in the middle of winter. I think I've had my fan on a total of 3 days this winter so far. And now I have a sweater in my office and I wear it most days. I also now am able to wear sweaters and not die in them like I use to be doing.

Good luck at your doc appt and post here if you find anything out about the coldness.

I'm always cold too. Maybe the low iron does have something to do with it. My iron levels are often low.

Hmm ... I never realized that low iron levels could do that... I just thought it was because we were losing fat :)

Same here. I am always freezing cold. I hate it. I do not have a low iron level, so I'm sure it's the lost insulation that's causing the problem. :teeth:

I am glad to see this thread. I have been freezing :cold: the last month. And it does coincide with when I began WW. I also began using a hormonal form of birth control and maybe it could be that? I have never had an issue with being cold...it really has me puzzled. I have lost 12 pounds since January 16...but I wouldn't think that losing that small amount of fat would make me this cold. Hmmmm

Hi to all

I have been cold for the last 3 years to the point where it can be 75 degrees outside and I have goosebumps running up and down my body. :cold: :cold: :cold:

I have been tested for thyroid by two different doctors and both tell me I am within the normal range.

Both doctors told me it is probably part of the pre-menopausal time I am in :tilt:

I just always make sure I have a sweater or fleece with me.

If anyone can come up with a solution - I would be sooooooooo excited.

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

I'll join the ranks of those who are always cold. I have had the problem all my life. I run a heater in my office and wear fleece all summer.

Being almost 54, I have episodes where I start sweating for no apparent reason. The secretary laughs at me and kids me about my 'hot flashes' but most of the time I still run the heater at myt feet.

This is some info I found on the internet about the chills and dieting:

Removing sugar from your diet, like quitting most drugs, leads to withdrawal symptoms. The most common are headaches, chills, and body aches. Sugar, like alcohol, is intoxicating. It creates an imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain. Mental and emotional disorders are often linked to sugar in the diet.
