Is anybody waitlisted for BWV NYE?

I called today and reserved Dec.31st-Jan.7th at VWL (our home resort). I kinda want to switch to BWV if possible. I asked her to check availability for me at BWV (in a 1 bedroom), just to see if it was already booked. She said all nights were available except the 31st. Just wondering how long it's been sold out, and what my chances are if I waitlist. If I do waitlist, I'll do it for the whole week, I don't want to have to move, and I don't have enough points to hold both reservations.

NYE at the BWV generally books up very, very early in the 11 month window. It's the absolute busiest, most requested day there.

Sorry to be so pessimistic, but IMHO, you don't have much of a chance getting it. Best to plan on VWL if you don't want to move.

I'm also waitlisted for NYE at BWV. I've waitlisted for a studio or a 1 bedroom, any view. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but being that NYE is so busy, I doubt the waitlist will come through. I waitlisted on April 28 (we just bought DVC, and didn't have the 11 month booking advantage).

Thanks for your replies. I think that I will waitlist for the whole week. We will be staying somewhere else (not sure where yet) Friday and Sat. night, so I don't want to stay just Sunday night at VWL and then have to move again to BWV. That would just be too much moving for a family of 5. I was hoping since I wanted a 1 bedroom that I might have a chance. Thanks again!

I waitlisted for BWV for NYE and it came through a couple of days ago. But I did get on the waitlist back in February. Good luck.

A few years back I waitlisted for NYE at BWV. It was roughly this time of year when I went on the list and it never did come through -- even called the on the 30th to see if something had opened up. Not saying that it couldn't come through for you, but you are wise to have a back-up.

All I can tell you is that I booked my BWV 1 bedroom - standard view right at 9 am at the 11 month mark.
