I booked lunch at Mama Melrose to get the fantasmic preferred seating for early Oct. but from what I was reading on another thread - the seats are not great - it is guaranteed, but you still have to wait on line and the seats aren't as good. Not sure what to do now... any thoughts? First trip w/ DH and 5yo ds... Thanks!

are they doing FAntasmic every night when you're there...if so, then no,I don't think the tickets are worth it. If they're doing F! every night, you can show up an hour before the show starts and get seats.

We were very disappointed with the set-up last week (Sept. 2011) They've changed the entrance for the Fantasmic seating (AGAIN!) and now they have you walking about twice as far to get to the same seats as before. We had to walk way past the regular Fantasmic entrance, and then once in the gate,we doubled back across the regular line, then back behind the wall, and finally back into the area the reserved seats have always been (right hand sections as you face the stage area.) They added showings after we had got the dinner reservations, so the place did not even fill until about 15 minutes before the show started.

What makes you think that you still have to wait in line??? The whole point of the F. package is that you go in the separate entrance and straight to your seat. We've done the package several times and have never had a complaint about the view to the stage. I would much rather walk straight in 30-45 minutes before the show than stand in line an hour ahead of time.

If there is lower attendance, and there are still seats available in the center sections when you enter, then you are free to sit there instead of in the reserved section.

For us it was worth it. We did not want to wait in line as we had my 93 yr. old MIL and my 8 year old autistic son both in wheelchairs with us on our last trip. We arrived one hour early and got right in without waiting in line. If you are pushing a wheelchair though it is a long, hilly walk.

Because we had wheelchairs we were in the last row anyway. We were in the section all the way to the right as you looked at the stage. We could see everything. Were we perfectly centered and front row? No. But, the view was fine and we were not crowded. Something that would have put my son over the edge.

I prefer sitting off to the side rather than waiting for 2 hours in line but everyone has their view on what is best for them. Hope this helps some. :)
