Is an AP worth it for us?

We're Canadian and we're planning on going to DL for 4 days in December, and then maybe another 3 in May pre-cruise. Is it worth getting the AP? What places can you get discounts? I know that we would have to give up a Saturday but I think financially it might be worth it.

Any advice? We're 5 , 2 parents and 3 kids (12,9,6).

Thanks.

I would recomend buying hoppers, then upgrading them. That way you can still use EE and not have to worry about the Saturday block out on the first trip. A deluxe ap will get you 10% dinning discounts on most restaurants in the parks, resort hotels and downtown Disney. There are also some shopping discounts in DTD, but not any disney shopping discounts.

I'm not sure how the math would work, with a 4 day then a 3 day, but if you're only interested in the discounts, you could just get one AP.

Just called WDTC 1-877-345-3476 for you and I was quoted (for this year, next yr could be a bit higher in price)
4 Day Park Hopper
A-179.00
C-(9 and under) 149.00

3 day PH
A-160.00
C-130.00

these come with extra like a fun car (discounts around the park and DTD) EE one day
and a few other things I think they said.

Oh and they have a $10.00 fee for processing.

Last I checked AP's were at 239.00 per person (deluxe)

I think you should start w/ a PH then upgrade to the AP.

Best of luck and have a fabulous time.
