Is AAA worth it?

It's worth it to me, just for the roadside assistance. There's nothing like automotive peace of mind when you're as alone as I am. I don't use it for hotels very often (I can do better by bidding on priceline.com), and I usually forget about using it for stores and restaurants, but I almost always use it for Amtrak travel. I've occasionally gotten roadtrip information from the local AAA office.

I would say NO.

I would only use it for roadside, but our car insurance offers it for free....

As often as DH locks his keys in the car, or leaves the lights on, it is so worth it. We get the plus membership, so we can be towed further if need be. We have also used it for discounts at stores and travel. Love it!!!!! :goodvibes

I love aaa they are the best. I have used them twice for towing theyr are great at what they do. always professional when you need them.

I like the discounts to , but be forewarned at some hotels they try to get out of taking the discount by telling you that they are giving you the best rate that its' better then the aaa rate. Now mind you this is the hotel chain doing this not aaa Holiday inns are the worst in my experience for this.

With most hotels the AAA rate is a set rate or a discount rate based on the rack rate. It is quite possible for other rates to be cheaper than the AAA rate. The hilton MVP rates are frequently better than AAA.
