Is a WDW wedding in the cards for us? Help!

I am not having a wedding in Disney but I just wanted to throw in there... do whatever you can to make it happen. Had I known 2 years ago that Disney weddings were actually affordable and pretty much the same amount we are paying for our at home wedding, I would have done it in a heartbeat. I look at these boards now and actually get sad that we didn't. So definitely make it work!!

Never mind just saw the post!
Thanks for all this info girls i needed it!

Just for the record, I am getting married at Shades of Green and it doesn't have a military feel at all! In fact, it feels more disneyish to me. I love it and the prices are amazing!!! If I had to compare it to something i would say it's a cross between the polynesian and the wilderness lodge. The only thing related to the military is the store says aaffes outside, but it's all disney stuff inside. I wouldn't rule out this option if an escape wedding doesn't work for you.

If you change your mind and have any questions let me know.

I totally agree with that! With what was eventually spent on our wedding at home, we could have easily had a WDW wedding and "not as big and totally crazy" wedding reception at home.

Ok, so we looked into the Buena Vista Palace today & it just was not for us at all :( We definitely want to be either:

-On the Boardwalk (& get Randy photos taken there!)
-On the Polynesian beach
-In Epcot

My guess is getting married in Epcot would be way to pricey, right? So, either on the Boardwalk or Poly beach. So it's between a Swan/Dolphin wedding or a Disney Escape.

Does the Swan/Dolphin have that "Disney" feel to it? It seems to make the most sense financially, & we want the ceremony to be short, sweet, & simple.

What are the negatives to having a Swan/Dolphin wedding? Anything you miss out on, as opposed to doing a Disney Escape?

Thanks everyone-you have all been so helpful!!:goodvibes
