Is a PS a must for the Boardwalk eateries?

We would like to stroll around and see if anything looks interesting before we decide. How spontaneous of me! We have never been and thinking next Saturday evening would be nice, are we likely to encounter big crowds?

Don't know about the crowds, but PS is not available in any event for a couple of the Boardwalk restaurants (ESPN and Big River, I think). PS is available for FF and Spoodles.

If you don't go right at 6:00 and are willing to be flexible, I am sure you can find something without too much wait.

Big River is very good... We went at 5 pm and got seated right away..

Flying Fish can get really packed... you might not be able to get in there on a Saturday night with no PS.

We ate at Spoodle's on a Sat. in early March last year without a PS around 6:30 and only waited about 15 minutes. We all enjoyed our meal a lot. We did not enjoy Big River Grill when we ate there(we tried it twice).

We've been at Flying Fish on Saturday nites where they were turning folks away w/o PS--and that was pretty early in the evening. For the FF, I'd suggest a PS.
