I see the days will be warm in Florida in May. What about mornings and evenings? Does it cool down then? Will we need a jacket or sweatshirt?

I lived in Houston for a number of years, and we never needed a jacket in May for any time of the day, but I'm not sure about Orlando.

I just bring a sweatshirt for the evenings. My bf and I went to the movies at PI late one night last May and the air conditioning was SO cold in there!

We didn't need jackets at all last May when we went. But.. even this year I will be packing a light jacket or sweatshirt for everyone just in case.

same here

Since Florida can get stormy and windy I'd bring a light jacket and a sweatshirt, as others have mentioned, just in case. I'm from Northeast Ohio and b/c of the weather I'm used to have become one of those 'crazy' folks who has the short sleeves and shorts out when it hits 40 degrees. That being said I've used jackets there in early May to simply keep the wind off me a bit. Better to pack it and not need it than to have to buy one while you are there. :D

we have been down to Florida a couple of time in early May- and a sweater or light jacket can be necessary- mostly in the evening or if rain storms come in. So to be safe throw some sweatshirts in the bag. :rotfl:
