Since you live in Florida, maybe it would be OK. We did the 7 day last week. Coming from Ohio, flying, etc., I can tell you that for us the 3 day would have felt like we just got settled in to the boat.
I think any cruise is worth going on, even if it is a three day! It did seem to me, though since we got off the ship in Nassau that there really wasn't enough time to enjoy the ship. Just my thoughts.
I don't think so. The way I see it, if you do a three day & save a litte money, you can either do excursions or when you get back, go do something else.
Plus, if you enjoy your cruise, you have an reason to do it again & something else to look forward to (booking a longer cruise.)
I choose a 3-day cruise because my wife had never been on one. So if she got sea-sick or had a bad time it wouldn't be too long. She loved it and now we're going for a 10-day one.
If it's your first time then 3-days is a good trial run. Not everyone loves to cruise and not everyone loves DCL. Good Luck!
We did a three day last time. We had such a good time! There were so many activities that we missed out on. I do not think you could do them all on a 7 day either!
By the last day, we all knew that we had to do DCL again, but for a week!
If you have never cruised before, a 3 day is a great starter!
When my family did our 4 day, it was all we could afford. This time, we saved up for the longer cruise.
I agree with everyone. A three day is a good starter cruise although I can't imagine anyone not liking a cruise! Also a three day cruise is better than no cruise at all, especially since you live in Florida. If we were closer and didn't have to worry about air fare, travel time, etc we would do several three day cruises a year!
Is a 3 night cruise too rushed.............no way.........just think of it as a "whirlwind tour".
3 night cruises, 4 night cruises, 7 night cruises they are all wonderful and have their own merits.
Our family did the 4 day land 3 day sea in Nov 02. Loved the entire trip. We opted for the 3 day cruise cause it was DD & DS first cruise. Glad we did, the kids got a good feel for what Disney cruise is all about. Needless to say we had a "Wonderful" time. We booked the 4 day for Nov of 04 while onboard, unfortunately we have had to change plans, but now we are signed on for the 7 day western in April of 05. Can't wait!! Can't wait!!
We agree with everone else no matter how long you are aboard you'll wish it was longer. So go relax and have a great time!
I think you get the 'best of the best' on the 3 day. You see all of the main shows, eat in the full rotations of restaurants, and visit Castaway Cay. These are all the BEST parts of the cruise no matter what the length of your trip. We have been on two 3 day, one 4 day, and one 7 day. Of course, longer is better, but we really enjoyed our 3 day cruises also.
