I am leaving tomorrow for my one day WDW trip. It is supposed to be 73/74. Will I be ok in pants or do I need shorts?

Depends greatly on the individual. I'd be in shorts and a t-shirt and my DF Tina would be in long pants with a jacket.

I would be wearing shorts and sleeveless top during the day and then at night, pants and a sweatshirt.

ENJOY!!!!:cool1:

To the OP: Being from Michigan, I would imagine 73degrees is going to feel great at this time of year for you. I'm from N.E. and am going in two weeks, I wear shorts and flip-flops; if I get cold, I'll throw on a sweater.:thumbsup2

I am from N.E. as well and 73/74 degrees is definitely shorts and t's for me. I have worn this and been very comfortable when the CM's had parka's on. That never fails to amuse me!

When I get cold I Ahh....come to think of it, I never get cold when in Florida. OK, that is a slight exaggeration. I was there once in February when it was cool, 45/50 and the wind was really strong, I wore a light wind breaker for about a half a day.

I agree. I think it depends on where you live!! Being from Alabama, I would be very comfortable in jeans and t-shirt with a light jacket around my waist! :) 73 is really close to the 60's!!

We are going next week and I don't have any shorts packed. I am only taking capri's and jeans (tops too:rotfl: )

I live in NY (near Buffalo) and we will be there in 30 days. Last year Dh wore shorts ane tees and I wore capris and 3/4 length tops. Dh wore jeans at night and we both wore light jackets at night. Right now 70's will feel like a heat wave since in is only in the 30's and40's.

Heck, I'm from North Carolina, and 73 is shorts weather for me!! :cool1: I'm pretty hot-natured, and the temps combined with the humidity makes FL seem like it is always warm and sticky. The only time I ever wore long pants during the day at WDW was this January, when the highs were in the low 60's.

I'd do shorts. The cooler weather isn't lasting that long. We will be back up to 80 on Monday.

Growing up, 70 was always the number to hit before we could wear shorts. And I see you are from MI- you might want to pack a pair of shorts. Isn't it snowing there already? :santa: Enjoy the shorts while you can.

Thanks! It is cold in Michigan right now with some snowflakes. I tend to get cold and 70s in Michigan can feel cool. I wasn't sure how 70s in Florida would feel. I am bringing some shorts so I can see how I feel when I get there.

I'd wear shorts just because you can. It's hard to justify wearing shorts when it is snowing.

Where I come from, 73 degrees is No Pants Weather.

Definitely shorts or capris. I live in capris all summer, because I like them better. Actually, I live in capris here in MA until snowfall.

I think 73 would be comfortable for either. Not too cool for shorts and not too warm for jeans.

I'm going against the grain . I'm very cold natured :santa: and I would wear jeans/pants and a short sleeve shirt and have a sweatshirt jacket for later that evening.

Don't forget that 72/73 is the high. Both mornings and evenings can be very chilly. We always bring hats and mittens along. Many mornings this time of year I'll wear shorts, a shirt, and a sweatshirt, shed the sweatshirt in the late morning. When we return to the parks in the evening, I'll do the reverse order.

Some mornings require gloves, others don't. If it's drizzling, I always wear pants.

Have fun! :)

I would probably wear pants or capris but Dh would be in shorts and still be too warm. I think it depends on where you are from and what you are use to. DH is from Michigan and anything over 60 is hot to him.

And I agree with the poster that said it will be cooler in the morning and evening so you might want something a little warmer for those times. With weather like that I usually wear a light sweater or jacket in the morning and tie it around my waist during the day and have it for the evening when its chilly again. :)
