Is 7 an odd number?

It comes down to both the cost and not wanting to share a room with my adult son. I'd rather get three rooms at Pop or Sports, cheaper and more privacy. But grandson will be disappointed in the location. Ive never gone with the other adult son before, did get two rooms at the Poly for 6 and it was perfect. It's that 7th person that throws a wrench into the plan.

7 is both an odd number and a prime number:)

I did a group of 7 girls to wdw for the marathon (another time with 8) and I'm doing it again in Jan. It was no problem, but we also have no issue splitting up and in fact it ended up we're even staying at different hotels this time. Its kinda nice because you can get quality time with everyone; a couple of friends want to hit the pool, they hit the pool, the others want to go drinking at Epcot, they go drinking, the others might see how many times they can ride TOT. I rather like the large groups now that I'm thinking about:) This group of girls travel together a couple of times of year so 7 doesn't seem odd to me at all.

Also, if you stay onsite, do you need a rental, or was that only a part of the offsite equation? I don't do ME (I'm impatient) but that might be a good choice for your family.

Anyhow, have a blast with your whole fam!

Not sure where your staying but get two connecting rooms. and if taking Magic Express from OIA will not have a transportation problem and then uses buses while there. when doing ADR'S sometimes the online does not take odd number ressies may just not take them or say no openings at that time so I put in even number and then need to call and they will take the one off for you. we have in all our trips never had to wait on ME arriving or departing and is a relaxing trip as well.

I would look into renting points and staying at a 2 BR at Baylake Tower. That way you have the space you need and the location you want! You can save the money and not worry about car rental. I have heard that renting points is easy and safe. I have 5 children so we are 7 and we need 2 rooms wherever we go, but we are going to try renting points in the near future. Good luck with your decision!

We did a trip of seven and it was great. Everyone fit in a minivan and two rooms. If you don't want to sleep with your son in the room, get a two bedroom and put him on the couch.
