Is 6 nights too long at DL?

We were planning on making a 2 1/2 week trip out west next summer, with a 3 day stop at DL. However, I am thinking that it may be too expensive. So we might just fly and visit DL over spring break. Will 6 nights be too long? We will want to see everything and if we ever visit again it probably won't be for 10 years or more.
Thanks

Is 6 days too long? :rotfl2:

I'm kidding, of course. IMO 5-6 days is just about perfect. You get a chance to do everything at a leisurely pace and see all the shows & ride all the rides at least once. :)

If nothing else you could always just buy a 4-day parkhopper. After the 4 days are up, if you feel you've done it all then you could spend a day or two on the beach, at Knotts, tour Hollywood, etc. If you feel like you'd like more time, then you just upgrade your 4 day parkhopper on the last day for a 5 or 6 day one.

Personally, I doubt 365 days would be too long!

But, we found 4 days about perfect to see all the rides, and redo all our favourites in both parks. 5 days would have allowed us to do more shows, but we used our 5th day to have a day in LA itself.

Get a 5 day pass and use one in the middle to do something else like a tour of Hollywood, Universal studios or just head to the beach or evn do some shopping.

6 nights is perfect for us - enough time to do everything once, including the shows & parades, eat sit-down meals often, and relax every afternoon. We have young kids, so that is a factor, but I have a feeling 6 nights wouldn't be too long even if it were just 2 of us.

I dont think you would regret 6 days, especially over spring break when the park is busy. Like mom2mic said, you can always get a 4 day and upgrade the last day. They only charge the difference, which isnt much. Of course, this is coming from someone that is getting ready for her 3rd 3 to 5 day trip in about 7 months time. Not sure I'm the best person for this type advice. LOL I say go, as often and for as long as you can afford. The people I work with think I've gone crazy.

Just curious, how do you upgrade to another day from a 5 day PH if you are working on the 5th day. Did not mean to hijack this thread.

Jack, I think all you need to do is go to the ticket booth.

My family of 5 stays at the hotel for 6 days, and have been for 4 years. We still have not seen everything, nor have we eaten at all the restuarants. :grouphug:

We have stayed 7 nights at Disneyland and still were not ready to go home and we also did not leave the Disneyland Resort the whole week! That was last September during a very low time with no crowds too and we must have ridden Space Mountain literally 25 times that trip. I can never have too long when I am at DL or WDW. For WDW we have stayed as long as 12 nights and that wasn't long enough either! I agree with others, buy at least a 4 day park hopper and upgrade if it feels like you need more time. If you don't, you are not that far from some nice beaches (from what I have heard) and other fun things to do in the area. Good luck!

We are staying 6nights and 7 days. We are doing a 3day park hopper. I've also planned one day for Legoland and two "free" days. We plan on doing a beach and maybe a tour or two. One good thing about it, is we do plan on enjoying the resort this time...ya know, take it easy and relax. If we feel we need more time then I'll be sure to upgrade my ticket but I think three days at two parks should be plenty. :)
