Our children are 6 & 8 year old boys that love Disney but do not like the big rides. Is 6 & 8 too young for IOA and US? My wife and I are at odds over this and need suggestions from experienced people.

Mine were 11, 8, and 4 just about a year ago. They loved it! The 11 & 8 year olds went on all the big rides, but my 8 year old is tall for her age. Take a look at the height restrictions on the web site. The 4 year old went on everything he could and is still talking about it.

We took our twins to US in May 2003 when they were 5 (we also went to WDW for 7 days on that trip). They loved it so much that we went back again in Dec 2003 for another 5 day trip. I was also concerned that there wouldn't be enough to do, but there was. They had their favorite rides and with FOTL we rode them over and over. If your kids watch Nickelodeon they'll love riding Jimmy Neutron and meeting the Rugrat characters and Spongebob. Ever since riding MIB my kids watch the movies. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you go. And just my opinion, I'd stay on site to enjoy the FOTL.

We visited Universal and IOA in November. Our son was 7 and our daughter 5 1/2. They both loved the parks and had a great time! They rode just about everything the could - Neither of them really like the big thrill rides. The loved the Nick characters as well as all the other characters we saw.

I loved the Nick characters too - the Jimmy Neutron ride was so much fun! My 4 year old couldn't get enough of the MIB ride. Our one disappointment was missing Nick Live (is that the name?). Every time they see it on TV "filmed from Universal Orlando", the kids remember that they missed actually being in the audience. We just didn't plan right and missed the last show.

The whole little kids area with shooting the soft balls and the house with all the water was another favorite. We need to go back there in another couple of years!

Just to chime in here, I'm glad you're going for it! We just took our two boys, ages 6 and 4, and they loved it. They would rather return there than Disney! If your boys like Spiderman, there is reason alone they will have a blast. LOL.
