We have been in process since 3/1 on an Aulani resale contract. It's been a month since the sellers returned their closing docs. I feel like my title agent is giving me the run around...they said they are waiting on Disney to finalize the transfer, but won't tell me if the deed has been recorded yet. We are already DVC members, and I don't see our contract on our account yet, and I don't remember it taking this long for our other resale contracts. Is this extra long timeline normal for Aulani?

Look at the thread Closing time. it has most peoples timelines. Mine was 72 day and my next is about done and will be around 60 days. 4 months does seem much longer than normal though i don't know if it being Aulani makes any difference

The past year or so it has been taking a good 3 months minimum for things to go from offer to having the account created and the points there to use. I think your timeline is on the longer side, but all you can do is reach out to MA and ask them where you are in the line for having the deed transferred as if closing has occurred, it would now be their timeline that guides the process.

I'd agree that is on the long side. It might have something to do with it being Aulani but have not bought there to know if it took any longer or not. I'd call member administration or talk to your broker about checking. I had a resale that hadn't shown up in the system for 4-5 weeks after closing. My broker said that was longer than they had been seeing and called and by the time I had an email from her that she spoke with them the contract was loaded.

Just spoke with our title agent and she said our "deed just came back as recorded and has been sent to Disney, you should see it in 2 weeks"...so the deed recording took a month! ouch

I had one take 4 months from offer to loaded points. It was a good deal, so I was content.
