Is 3 weeks too much?

3 weeks over there yes but not all in theme parks, especailly not at Christmas when it'll be very busy.

We're leave in a couple of weeks for an 18 night stay taking in Christmas and New Year. I'm hoping the first week or so is quiet in the parks so we can enjoy them before the crowds arrive. It's nice to feel we don't have to rush to cram everything in. Enjoy your planning :)

we head out in 10 days for three and a half weeks at SSR definately not too long! go for it!

It all depends on how many times you have been and what you want out of the holiday (as I said earlier) for us 3 weeks is the ideal amount of time to go for but we couldn't spend more than 2 weeks in Orlando these days - would have to get away to the coast for part of the holiday.

3 weeks is a good amount of time to be in Florida but it's just a bit much if you are only doing the theme parks. Especially at Christmas when it's going to be an exercise in frustration most days. If you can plan for about 2 weeks to do the main theme parks in Orlando, with some shopping and Kennedy Space Center, then plan for a few days at Daytona or on the Gulf Coast (ideally). You'll have a more relaxed pace, not be so in-your-face with the parks for that amount of time, and you'll get a good sampling of the best Florida has to offer.

Congrats on the booking! I think 3 weeks would be a great amount of time to go.. Would love to go for 3 myself but like others bf only gets limited holiday time which he doesn't want to take all at once.

My answer a definet No! We always go for 2 weeks, But would love to go for 3

Have a great time. You'll have to let me know how you got on when you come back. You're thinking the same way as I am..hoping to get the parks done whilst it's quiet before the crowds arrive and then being able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas.

My DW is nagging me to book up for next Christmas. We're thinking of going from 8th Dec for 3 weeks so we can spend Christmas day there. We've been twice before for 2 weeks and although reluctant to come home, we felt that we had done and seen what we went out there to do. What we are figuring is that we can do the first 2 weeks when hopefully it will be fairly quiet and then for the last week over Christmas, chill out a bit and just go with the flow and soak up the festive atmosphere. Anyone else in the same boat as me or has done similar dates? Thanks Miffy for your previous help, just want a few other comments before I book.

Nick

Hi!
We often go for 3 weeks. It is great as we dont feel so rushed. We dont go to parks till 3rd day and I feel fully refreshed to face the busy days.
If you can,go for it!!I want to go next Dec for first time. But think Ill only make it for two weeks,

Lynn

We always go for three weeks. We are now spoilt and don't want to go for anything less.

We are going for 3 weeks next August/September. I didn't want to have to rush around. and we now won't feel guilty if we wanted to spend time lounging about at the pool etc.

Another :thumbsup2 for 3 weeks... It really takes the pressure off and you dont have to hit the ground running....Its amazing how much more relaxed and content you feel..Were going for 3 in june/july 07..staying at ASmu..
Price difference from 2 weeks for a family of 4 was under £300 in total including accomm and park tickets to cover the entire stay..If you can get the time off I would definately recommend it.... ;)

Another vote for 3 weeks :thumbsup2

We're doing three weeks in may/june and I'm looking forward to not having to do everything commando style - but taking our time and really soaking up the atmosphere... plus I agree with xccy - the difference between two weeks and three weeks in costs makes it rude not to add that third week ;)

We went this Feb for two weeks, and it wasn't enough, so we're going back in Feb for three, I'll let you know when we get back if it was too much. :rotfl2:

When we booked it was cheaper, by over £100 per person, to go for three weeks than two. The only reason the travel agent could think of was that we straddle the Feb half term and so would pay extra for flying near the begining or end of it if we went for two.

Glad you've booked Nick :goodvibes

We went for 2 weeks last time but felt we were coming home too early ;) so we have booked for 3 weeks this time. :Pinkbounc We have also booked to stay at St Pete Beach for a few nights in the middle of our holiday and are going to visit Universal for the first time. :yay:

We always go for 3 weeks (work permitting).
Have found it teh best way to see everything, relax (!) and enjoy it all.
Also, by the time you have paid for flights, it lowers the overall cost per week (sad I know)
