Ok...first my dryer died... it worked intermittently and made this electric burning smell... So guess what I got for Mothers Day!! LOL... new washer and dryer (they come in pairs like shoes).

2 - DH opened the pool, and the heater pump wasn't closed correctly... new part just under 1k :confused3 (oh, DH says this was my fault caused I made him close the pool instead of hiring pool company)

3 - Garbage disposal was backing up, went to basement to check sump pump (don't ask me why) and the ceiling is leaking..sigh... plumber is coming tomorrow (had fil over, DH looked, and had brother (contractor) over... ) Hopefullly it is just a stopped drain (we don't have a big enough snake).

Sigh...kaching...kaching...kaching...

This does get better right??

ouch... That doesn't sound like fun. But maybe your new washer and dryer will save on electricity and water. It's a small glimer of hope.
And sometimes you just have to learn to do things yourself to know they get done right.

We've had a spring like that too! Garage door broke ($850), roof leaked ($450), gutters needed to be replaced ($1200), car needed repaired ($750), and just last week, a 70 year old maple tree fell in our back yard, knocking down power lines to the house (at least $1400). Wow. I hadn't added it all up yet. That's just downright depressing!!!

Yup the new washer and dryer are much more efficient then my 11 year old ones! So I will save there :).

Yup it is...we replaced our garage doors at the end of last year...that was a nice chunk of change!

Thankfully the issue was a blocked pipe... the plumber unblocked it..told us to run water for a bit after we turn off the garbage disposal... so this wasn't too bad (TG), only 250.00, just a drop in the bucket compared to my first 2... but I am so grateful and thankful .

My computer broke on Friday, my washing machine broke on Saturday and I busted my toe on Sunday! Yep, things break in threes!

My new washer and dryer (did the set, too) come today! I hated spending the money on that but, like you, I'm hoping it's more energy efficient than my old ones! I have a large family and do LOTS of laundry!:laundy::laundy::laundy:

Good luck :) Did you get the lovely front loaders too? Mine hold so much more laundry and I get fewer wrinkles in my clothes too :)
