Is 12 nights in one resort too long?

I am terribly indecisive when it comes to my reservations,I have probably changed my rental 20 times since my 7 month booking window opened, now my mailbox is being inundated with the Incredible envelopes. I usually do split stays between 4 or 5 resorts each trip, but I thought it would be nice to only stay in one resort this time, so I have a 12 night stay in a value studio booked. I am concerned this is too long in one place, does anybody have any input on this?

We have stayed 12 nights in a 1 bed, love the settle down factor, it really makes you slow down. If I were in your shoes, here would be my deciding factors 1. How many people in the studio, if 2, stay put, more, consider staying put in larger accommodations, or make the move 2. How much stress will the move cost, I think like this, if I move, I have to pack up again, and kill a day of my vacation.
If it were me based on what I feel, I would stay in one place and make it work.

I just booked 10 nights in a 2 bed at bcv for this august...i wish it was 12!

It'll be fine. Honestly, I think the only place you may have issues is food costs, since you'll probably eat out more staying in a studio. You might want to have a plan for how to defray that cost, but that said, I could happily stay in a value studio for 12 nights if it meant I was at Disney.

Honestly, it doesn't have to be that big a deal. Pack up the night before, leaving out your change of clothes and a "day bag" with a swim suit and any amenities you might want. In the morning, have Bell Services take your bags and tell them to have them transferred to your new resort. On your way out, check out, then go to the parks or wherever. When you're done, or ready for a break, head to your new resort, check in, and if the room isn't ready, you can still hang at the pool and lounge around.

Really, it's just a person's attitude that can be the trick for something like that. Just take it in stride an you can avoid losing too much time.

Depends on if you are a park person or a room person. Gone all day out of the room, you may be okay, spend most of your time in the room or resort, I would split stay.

I cannot even spend one week in the same resort. We always do split stays, loving what each area/resort has to offer.

It depends. I've done 11 nights in a standard YC room. It was during the summer and we hardly spent any time in our room. Most of our resort time was spent at the pool. So we were fine with it. But I know it's not for everyone.

I'll let you know in December. We're doing 11 at BLT - thought it'll be a 2BR so I think it will be fine as there are only 5 of us. Split stays and the whole moving process annoys me, but I know many love it. Our last longest stay at one resort is 8-9 nights. Our only other 11 night stay was a split stay 3-5-3.

I must be weird. I like getting to where we are going, unpacking, settling in and having a home base. The thought of packing back up and moving and being homeless for a day gives me hives

If I was staying somewhere for 12 days I would want to change resorts at once. I would want to split it half and half just to enjoy a different area of WDW. I have stayed 10 days in a studio before and would not do it again if I did not change resorts half way through. It was just too long at one resort in one studio.

Our last trip was 14 nights in one location, though it was a 1BR for the two of us. Personally, we prefer to stay at one location no matter the duration.

The answer is yes, no and maybe!

I do plenty of split stays but you say that you usually do between 4 or 5 resorts in stay seems excessive to me.

The 12 night stay in a "value" is it at AKL, which means busses for all parks. Do you go to the parks for just a few hours? Will you spend a lot of time at the pool, and do you like the pool at the resort? When we do split stays we usually do one resort near MK and one near EPCOT and plan our park days around that. So I guess it all depends.

We are studio people. We are spending 8 days at BCV in the summer. This will be the longest we've ever stayed in 1 room. Most I've ever done is 5 and then moved. I'm thinking we'll be spending a lot of time at the pool and a long time at BCV sounds great to me, but I would go stir crazy for that long at AKV, but thats just my tastes. I'm pretty sure 12 days at BLT, AKV, and OKW would be too much for me. BCV, SSR, VWL I could do for 12 no problem. BWV....maybe. Have only stayed there for 1 night once.

I would normally do a split if I was there for that many days, but seeing as you are in a value, I would probably stay in the one spot if you have limited points to work with. It just means you will have more points for your next vacation
