This is our first time doing a cruise out of Port Canaveral, but our second cruise. Our first was out of Vancouver and departure was very busy - I don't know if we would have made a flight at 11:05 with customs and all.

Those with experience - please tell me what you think about this time - will we be stressed about making it?!?!

sueoz - 11:05 is definitely as early as I would book a return flight. It would be no problem as long as everthing goes smoothly and there are no delays. How are you getting back to the airport (I assume you're flying out of MCO?) If you have your own car, then you don't have to rely on a towncar to pick you up on time. Otherwise, you're at the mercy of other people! Last year, we were off the ship, through customs and at the airport by 9:45, so an 11:05 flight would have been ok. Our return flight this year is at 11:50. If the ship is at all late getting back to Canaveral, or if you get held up in customs, or if your transportation is late, 11:05 may be 'pushing the envelope'. If you feel you can control any of these factors, you should be ok. Disney recommends no flights before noon, but I know many people have successfully made earlier ones.

I would also like to hear some experiences with flight times. It seems we can get a flight out at 11:10 much cheaper than waiting until the noon or 2 o'clock flights. We will be traveling in a limo from port so I don't have to worry about the bus situation but I still don't want to be too stressed thinking we may miss our flight due to any other unforeseen events.

We are also using a limo service from the port to MCO. I have never had a problem with them showing up on time, but I advise you to have their phone number handy, and hopefully a cell phone, so if you don't see them waiting for you, you can call immediately!

We had a 2:30 return flight last year and it felt like we were in that airport all day! I am so glad that we leave at 11:50 this year.
11:05 and 11:10 really shouldn't be a problem. I think something would REALLY have to go wrong to make you miss those flights, in which case you'd probably miss a noon flight too!

We have made a 9:50 flight easily twice in a row. We had a rental car, ate breakfast early, were first off the boat and went directly to the airport. I was a little stressed about the boat getting in late etc, but even with our spring cruise where we were late getting everywhere because of bad weather, we were early into Port Canaveral.

Ditto the comments by castaway fan.

In February our flight back to Indy was changed to an earlier one - 10:50 AM. We didn't find this out until we arrived (Disney bus).

We were at the airport in plenty of time (even having to wait for the space shuttle recovery ship to pass by). Although we had to check our luggage (Delta wasn't back at Port at that time), use a real bathroom and sit around for a while before boarding - it was still plenty of time.

Getting the same time to return for September's cruise. Guess I am a "pie eyed optimist" that everything will go right.
