Irritating situation at US

So, this was our first full day at Universal/IOA and we got to the entrance to US just before 9. Headed back to ride Simpson's via the way on the left that also leads to JAWS. So we pass the turn where you can go right and go by the entrance to the kiddie stuff, etc. We pass where you can turn left and go towards ROTM. About halfway between that turn and where you can go over the bridge to SImpsons, there were 2 TMs standing there that told us there was a production being taped down close to JAWS and we would have to go around the other way. So we did. What really bugged me is that they didn't have a TM or signage at either "intersection"(one that takes you around to the other side of the lake or the one coming from ROTM), so everyone that walked down that way got turned around to walk 7-8 minutes back towards the entrance and then make up the time they had already walked on the other side. We told anyone we met coming that way after we were turned around.

We went the long way around and rode Simpsons, then went over the bridge and rode JAWS. After coming out of JAWS, a TM met the group, and turned us right past where they were filming. Then he disappeared, so we just kept walking. I guess we weren't supposed to, b/c another TM further up told us to "hug the building" and hurry up b/c we weren't supposed to be there.

When we left at 11:30 to come take an A/C break, they were still taping and had that whole area shut down, and were still not telling people until they got down to where they had to turn around. Just seems kind of disorganized to me. If it's a matter of not having enough staff, put up signs or you could always reassign one of the two TMs "guarding" the old cars by the lake. All they were doing was chatting a flirting anyway

FTR, I love Universal and bought AP's this year. Oh, and they were taping some show for MTV.

Sounds like they got traffic control from my town to work as TMs that day! I hate when they don't put people in *helpful* places, and instead put them at the very last minute.

I told DS that a man must have planned this one out and he was offended I guess it's better to say that the people in charge did not consult anyone who would be on the other end of the situation when they made their plan. When our school began renovating our classrooms, they did the same thing. They didn't ask the teachers what worked and what didn't, so I still have 2 electrical plugs in my class, and none within 20 feet of where the ethernet plug is
