:wave2: Just a qucik question. Can I bring an iron on the cruise? My clothes will come out all wrinkled and I don't want to look like I just rolled out of bed. Does it cost alot if I give things to them to iron? Did anyone ever bring a small iron on board?

Thanks:sunny:  :earsgirl: :sunny:  :earsgirl: :sunny:

Irons are not allowed in the staterooms.

We send our clothing out to be pressed. Cost is 1/2 of the dry cleaning cost. There is a list of prices on dcltribute.com.

It is very economical, as I am not wasting precious time on the ship ironing.

I don't iron when not on vacation so it's not an option when on vacation! I do make the exception and iron everything I'm packing before I pack it. After ironing I fold a pair of shorts, a shirt and a pair of socks and underwear for each kid and place them in 2 gallon ziploc bags. Their clothes have never had a wrinkle in them and no searching for outfits for them to wear each day. The bags fit nicely on the shelves in the steamer trunks.

Adult clothes don't fit into the bags but careful folding and Downy Wrinkle releaser has been great to save the day. Gowns can be packed in the bags from the dry cleaners to prevent wrinkling while packed.

If you do choose to iron they have one available in the laundry rooms but you have to wait your turn and be careful that the iron didn't pick up a stain that can be transferred to your clothes.

I send out most of our clothes to be pressed by them. I give them what I need done the first day and it's back by 5:00pm the following day.

I also use the iron in the laundry room. I suggest bringing a pressing cloth. Those irons are well used and can be very hot when it's your turn to use it.

You guys have been great. I HATE to iron, but didn't want too look like I slept in my clothes. I think I'll be sending my things to them, and I will bring some of the wrinkle releaser.

Thanks Again,:sunny:  :earsgirl: :sunny:  :earsgirl: :wave2:

If you really want to iron, which it doesn't look like that is the consensus with this group. There is an iron and ironing board located in the laudry rooms. So if you have something that only needs a quick once over, this is a quick and free option.
