Iron On transfer help - dark shirt

So I have a dark shirt that I am ironing on. The colors are coming through and I was wondering if there are any tips.

The paper we bought is Avery INk Jet Dark T-shirt Transfers.

Any suggestions???

We did think maybe we should wash the shirts first..not sure if that would help.

I think they do recommend washing the shirts first. We always wash ours before adding the DISigns and it has worked out well. Good luck!
