Has anyone ever tried to iron-on designs onto Tech fabrick or wicking fabric? My SIL and I are planning to do the Princess Half Marathon at Disney in March and I thought it would be cool to iron-on a Princess Tiara of sorts onto a solid color tech/wicking shirt.

Thoughts???

Thanks,
Stacie

Stacie,
I have no experience with this fabric but did not want you to think you were being ignored.

Iron on Transfer paper is designed for either 100% cotton or 50/50 but there is nothing to say that you cannot try.

I am not familiar with the fabric you mentioned. Can it be safely ironed in general? Like does it withstand heat OK, or will it melt?

Ask yourself if you can take the chance that the shirt be ruined. The worst you can do is waste a transfer and ruin the shirt. Were the shirts expensive and/or can they be replaced? Is there a way that you could do a test? Say something small on the bottom part of the shirt and then if it does not work, maybe the shirt could be tucked in. Just a thought.

If the shirt can be replaced and the shirt can be safely ironed, I would give it a shot.

If you decide to try it, please be sure and report back so that we will all know how it went.

Thanks for the response!

I looked at one of my wicking shirts and it is 00% polyester. I just want something cute for Princess Half Marathon and thought I might do a Mickey head w/ the tiara on the front.

If I try it, I will report back.

Thanks.
